D: Drive Help

Have a HP with Vista and did a system recovery to my D Drive. Well there wasn't a enough space and the backup failed. I went in and deleted everything on the D Drive but it still saying my D Drive is full. Any idea what to do?

show hidden files.

open my computer. press alt + t, then folder options. under view, click show all hidden files and folders

see if some hidden files are taking up all the space

be care full when you run the system restore.most of the backup files are going to be an a small partion. the drive letter the restore should have been run on is c not d. you have to look at how hp formated your main drive and numbered the letters before you run a restore.
