Ithaca, Auburn, Binghamton, Corning, Syracuse, Rochester Thread!

Im starting this thread because Ive been seeing a lot of the same people when I go to the local fields. Unfortunately I have a horrible memory and it just doesnt feel right asking for a dudes number so I dont stay in contact with anyone. I know there are a lot of local people on this forum because Ive had conversations about it.

I thought this thread woudl be a good idea so people in our area can talk about local fields and events, schedule times to meet up whether at a field or elsewhere, and to talk about extra gear we may want to sell or buy.

So if you go to Ithaca Paintball (in Ithaca obviously), Combat Zone (Auburn), ABV (Corning), NVP (Rochester) or any other local place, tell us who you are and subscribe to the thread. If you want to rant or rave about a field, feel free to do so. Lets keep it peaceful though.

Ill start by saying my name is Jim. Im usually wearing full camo and shooting a G4 or an old school shoebox Shocker.

I let someone borrow my Revy last Sunday (9/11) at ABV paintball and I forgot to get it back before I left.

We were playing woodsball after the speedball tournament. He was shooting a red Bob Long Intimidator and I think he was driving a black Silverado. His friends were calling him Sasquach (I think his real name was Martin or something but I cant remember for sure.

Anyone know how I can get a hold of him?

its looking like i will be moving back to the rochester/fariport area within a year, is NVP the place near downtown? and hows the scene up there?

Boss Paintball down in Geneva just had their "Big Game" on Sunday...was pretty fun, around 20ish people showed up and we played some nice scenario woodsball games. They had a speedball field too...nice crowd.

Otherwise...in Roch, I'd recommend NVP. Nice people, nice indoor field, etc. There's also Armory, but I haven't been there yet.

NVP is ok. The staff is not too bad but they do side with regulars there, as in thy will let them team together but wont let you and lets say your friend team together. but they are spot on for tournaments. A lot of the regulars at NVP have really big egos and will talk **** to anyone. Really nice field overall.

does the post office still exist, that was a cool place way back in the day it was in the basement of the old federal post office building back in the day? anyone in here old enough to know what im talking about? (no offense just dont know yalls ages)

Yeah that place was really fun to play at. But alas, they are closed now.

nvp is a great indoor field with a great turnout on weekends for open play. we will be starting advanced nights up again soon. also we have one of the best stocked proshops around.

Combat Zone in Auburn has Friday night play but they are probably about to stop for the winter. I dont know their weekend schedule but Ive been there a couple times for Friday play and it was a good crowd.

NVP is the only indoor place that I know of in the area. Ill definitely be heading there to play over the winter.

I work 3rd shift friday and saturday, so playing on those days is pretty much impossible for me. Is headrush the only place around here that does indoor?
