From a business standpoint theres a huge difference. Most people that play COD aren't even legal to buy it. That game is aimed for like 12 year olds. Realistic games are aimed towards older players. Lrn2market.  |

Nobody in their right mind would ever market a video game towards "older players" for the same reason studio executives hate R-rated movies. Young adults are the largest consumers of entertainment media. Nobody at Infinity Ward is saying "You know what we need? A combat simulation game for 40 year-olds that 5 people will play." Every mainstream video game is targeted towards younger people.
That being said, your post don't really make sense. Why would they market something for 12 year olds if they knew it was going to get an M rating?

If they made Forza 4 for PC, I'd build a custom rig and buy a G27 to play with. But really, I don't care regardless. Sure, the system is more than five years old, but I'm waiting on the next gen consoles to come out so I can snag one of those *****es and play games in 2160 P like a BOSS. Because they're probably going to make 2160 P just to **** everyone's **** up for buying a 1080P TV.
