Nvm, you made 320 before on the old one and hoping for around 370 on new one.

This is still NA, right?

I gotta say man, that's insane to me how a K20 can make that much power without boost help. There's people with build engines running boost barely making that much in their cars. When/if I ever get my EK/EG hatch, I'll be aiming for 350-400whp with boost. I can't even imagine what those engines could handle with some boost thrown at them.

Stock block record is like 700+. All Stock motor is 654. Stock sleeves is 9xx

How? I mean, I know a good bit about cars and I just don't understand how that is physically possible.

Wait, are those numbers with boost?

So is the K20 a closed or semi closed block then?

What is the record HP numbers NA in a K20?

It's so interesting to me learning about these engines seeing what they're truly capable of.

Yes those numbers are with boost.

K series are open deck stock.


Record for NA isn't recorded bc they are competitive race teams that don't really say. But I know my engine builder who holds the record in all motor street (e85 or gasoline no dry sump) makes just over 400whp. His pro stock car(methanol and dry sump) which is 2nd quickest and 1st fastest makes just under 430 (saw it in person).

Still incredible to me how a K20 can make as much power as a 2013 Mustang GT on the block.

How do the open walls handle so much power then? I know on my engine you pretty much can't run over like 400whp or so or you risk blowing a hole in the wall.

honda engineering.

My tuner D-Rob and good friend from Innovative MotorWorks made 623 on just springs and retainers. Has been beating the **** out of it constantly for over a year at over 550hp. just recently turned it up to 62x.
