Found out my head and cams just came in. Last piece of the puzzle my motor should be done soon.

380cfm of cnc goodness. +2 intake valves, cnc'ed chambers for my pistons

The end is left long so I can cut it how I want for the hood.

what do you mean by filled? its not really polished most of it is raw right off the cnc as you can see on the groves. by the valves is smoothed some by hand it looks like.

They fill in the machining lines with epoxy and sand then until they're smooth so the intake and exhaust ports flow better..

Whats funny is that HEAD came off my customers 2004 honda CRV.. the husband is easily 70 years old and the wife is like 66...... little do they know... there old motor is better than ever HAHAHAHA...

this company and the company that did my last head said the heads flow better without finishing the surface anymore. this port shape is the same as the world record dss prayoonto civic.

I'm direction injection, but when building heads I still don't polish them. When spraying meth, the smooth surface promotes condensation. You don't want that.

lol, there is still zero chance the heads flow better without finishing the surface, i don't think that's disputable. i didn't say anything about atomization of fuel, you said flow, and i said flow.

atomization of fuel has everything to do with the entire system, not just the ports. depends on the runner geometry, location of the injectors, fuel spray impengement points/angles, the spray pattern of the injector, etc. i'm not a retard, i'm pointing out that you don't seem to have a good understanding of why all of the stuff you buy works.

low end torque could very well be improved by leaving the cnc tracks, but that's not what i commented on, and that's not what you said. the turbulence will help fuel atomization, but how much i can't say because there are too many unknowns. most of the time the injectors do all the work when it comes to atomization and the fuel is vaporized at the valves.

what kind of injectors are you running?

Keep rambling. You are digging a hole. I was told by both major companies that without making it smoother the heads flow up to 5cfm more than smooth. Like I said it is a theory that the ridges creat more velocity than the tumbling effect that a smooth surface has.


This has nothing to do with low end torque the port design is made to make power to 11k rpms with a 600 lift cam.


You think the best in the business and world record holder would overlook something like that and not refinish the head if it helped them?

What I'm saying is unless you port heads for a living and have flow bench proof before and after who are u to even comment? Nice bro science though. And lol at telling me I don't know about the parts that I buy. Give me an example.. F1 and probably you already tried to harp on me about the spoiler and were promptly shut down.

look up the term boundary layer.

i'm actually interested in looking at their data, do they have flow curves available?


edit: also, i don't recall saying anything about your spoiler, however i do recall commenting on your lol speed holes. are you planning to do a full undertray/diffuser with all these changes? it would help a lot and you seem to have the resources to get one.
