Frozen chicken breasts
Potatoes
Salad
Veggies / Fruits
Rice

It's all pretty simple stuff. Just stay away from sugary and fatty things.

No, actually a whole potato is very good for you. It is a complex carbohydrate.

Eudaemon87- Thanks for that link it was new to me. I am always on the lookout for good information about healthy food. Here's a link: heart healthy foods. Does anybody know of any other healthy food sites? Thanks.

Healthy Foods for a healthy body?

Eat less or none at all of fatty, carbohydrate-filled oily foods, and concentrate more on green or semi-cooked vegetables and salads. Junk foods, fast foods, spicy foods, foods heavy with fat, salt, and sugar etc., should be avoided altogether. Choose whole foods and avoid processed carbohydrates.

I've always found fajitas to be a pretty delicous, easy to make meal that you can prepare and take to work with you the next day. I end up buying some cheap chicken tenderloins for about 4 bucks and three bell peppers at walmart and a $2 30minute marinade, tomato basil or hawaiian lowry's is pretty phenomenal. While the chicken is marinating just slice up the peppers, then sear everything in two separate pots/pans. Throw in some fresh spinach leaves, shredded cheese and some corn or flour tortillas and voila. Average cost per each meal you get out of it is probly around $3-4. Cheeseburger soup is a pretty fun meal to make as well.

Try to do sandwiches (it is part of kids lunch box anyway). You can even put vegetables to make it healthy, it's easy to prepare and cheaper in cost.

There is an app for apple that you type in the foods you have around your house and it creates meals according to what you have.
As long as you dont have a closet full of oreos it may help give you some good healthy suggestions and you wont have to leave for the store.
Forgot the name of the app look it up sorry
