GS-Series SHP Regulator:

The SHP Regulator is a Super High Pressure regulator that we have designed specifically for Tippmann markers running a Response Trigger and for Automag owners using a Reactive Trigger. There have been many instances, especially with the Tippmann's running RT and/or Cyclone Feed, where we have seen problems with the marker not working properly and it was due to the tank regulator not outputting enough pressure to run all of the air-assisted upgrades on the marker. Our answer to this problem is the SHP Regulator.

The regulator has two different output pressures depending on which marker you are shooting. For the Tippmann markers running a Response Trigger, you can remove 1 shim to reduce the pressure to 950psi. Ninja Paintball does not recommend using the 1100psi setting on your Tippmann marker.

If you are shooting an Automag and you want to increase the sensitivity on your Reactive Trigger, leave the pressure set to 1100psi. If you don't want as sensitive of a trigger, you can adjust it down to 950psi.

I'm not understanding this...

The Ninja website says to remove all 3 shims, and Rob is saying to remove only 1 shim. Also, people are saying to remove the shims from the belleville stack, when looking at the diagram of the regulator, there are 3 adjustment shims completely separate from the belleville stack.

What's the truth here?

I'm interested in this SHP regulator as I have the Tippmann A5 with RT, but I would like to know how to set it up properly. I had also recently bought the 77/4500 new dura tank from Ninja and the guy a the store modified the Ninja reg to output around 1000 psi. What would be so different about this SHP regulator compared to my modified one?

Anyone know?

I turned the reg down to 950 to keep my field a little happier but its still ridiculous and I have to behave a little

but I did take it into the chrono booth after the game and open it up at the 950 setting. it did have some minor shootdown after about 100 straight balls ( ) but other wise, ill get the video out as soon as I can

There are 3 shims inside that you would remove to drop the pressure down to 950. I believe when we released it, we were going to use just a red shim but found that using 3 silver shims to adjust would give a more precise adjustment over the 1 red.

Classic Automag?

I notice this SHP Regulator specifically mentions the reactive trigger and RT effect. I wonder if the 950+ psi would benefit a classic Automag setup with no reactive trigger installed?

I think it might be overkill. I'm sure someone has tried it, though, and hopefully they'll chime in.

SHP and azodin zenith

If you want a Ninja reg for that marker, I would suggest going with our standard adjustable regulator set to 800psi.
Hi,

I just bought a NInja SHP without realizing what it meant. I have an azodin zenith marker and now a bit concerned. Ive removed the shims to bring down the pressure to 950 psi. Can I still use it with zenith. Is there anyway I can bring the pressure on the SHP down to 800 psi?

No. 950 is the lowest. I'm sure rob will work with you on this. He's a good guy

The only benefit is that you would have no shoot down at all. Your trigger might get a little stiffer though.

While on the subject of the SHP regulator, here's mine on my Mag, with my friend shooting while I video... I wanted him to shoot it, so I could see from a different point of view than being from behind the marker.

Enjoy.
