No not quite but compared to what you posted sure. This.is a punk thread and anything that falls under the genre. Sure I could have posted Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Suicidal Tendencies, Stiff little fingers, etc as that's what o grew up on, but I posted something else. Let's all just post the Punk we like and be cool with it.
Not trying to bash you, but I honestly don't see how anybody can enjoy listening to that. It's screamo with ****tier vocals...and that's saying something. To each his own, though.

No, those are all definitely pop punk/early emo bands. It still works for this thread, but you ignored the pop punk thread, a place where posting those videos would be acceptable.

Jawbreaker was the gateway for Emo, but was definitely softcore. HWM and SBB have EMO type sounds but are way to hard to be Emo. I don't know, this is why I wanted to start a thread that covers punk in general, it's way to easy to sub categorize music.
Hell, AFI used to be hardcore. I like to think I have a wide taste in punk
