HOLY CRAP!
Ydna is Andy backwards! Which is your name!

wooow I'm slow.

Anywho, this looks incredible. I bit... non-flowy with the rest of the body and foregrip I think... but it looks like it'd serve the purpose real well

You make me really really want to have a mini again.

Lashua will be stoked.

Ya it's hard to make everything cosmetically perfect since the parts are so tiny. The bottom portion of the extender fits good with the foregrip but the top component is a bit larger than the foregrip, since the foregrip was originally the part located under the barrel.

I might be able to make more of it work with the angled versions since there's more material to play with, but I'm not sure how that will go. Additional features on the sides will increase cost, theoretically. We'll see...

I would say, you can make it like a cocker front block, where it's curved to kind of "sleeve" up the bottom of the barrel.

May or may not look corny.

Also, diggin the angled versions, but 15* seems too far. I think a 10* forward would set it right.

And this was kind of an afterthought of something else, but the snatch grips and the extender, can they be rubber coated?

Your stuff REALLY makes me want to get a mini again. Beef it out. Keep it.
Although the no-microswitch is a real turn off for me. Even my angels and cockers have MS's in them.

Yeah the angled extenders are by no means finalized. I'm working on them right now but when the time is right I will post a new thread since there's some aspects to them that differ from the straight "Mini-only" version here in this thread.

I could add a rubber strip to any flat surfaces but it wouldn't be nice looking. I don't personally know of any solutions for a complete "coating" for parts like that (or a partial coating in the case of the foregrip extenders, since they're two components fitted together) but I can ask around.

There could be a machined solution depending on exactly where you'd want the grip surface. The parts could be machined with somewhat of a tach to them in surface pattern, such as small ridges in one direction, or a knurled surface weave, etc, which would be fairly painless compared to adding something post-machining.

Currently the entire bottom surface of the foregrip extender is already 3d surface-milled so changing the pattern isn't a big deal. In fact the next versions will have slightly more of a rounded shape compared to these ones. The angled versions will have the same basic design but their bottom shapes will be different in the same manner...

Yeah, if not rubber (can understand), then that crosshatched surface like on the karnivor's HPR. That stuff was soooo grippy, but shallow enough to be easily cleaned.

Now, that wouldn't be as awesome for the snatch grip, unless the crosshatching pattern is done only on that back piece which swoops up.

I know a whole front grip with that kind of surface in addition to the extender having it on the sides of it would just be godly.

^^^^ my home made ghetto grips with electric tap around them

so i just got these parts today and all i can say is that they are amazing, the grip extender is awesome it makes the mini fell more masculine, to me the stock version now feels like the gun is week it doesn't feel like anything i would want to thrash around. but anyways it works great, had no trouble installing these parts, and i only have on thing to critisize, Andy could u plz use metric bolts next time, i hated having to rummage through me tool box to get my imperial allen keys out and use the 7/64 wrench on the two included screws.

******GREAT JOB******THANX ANDY******

hehe sorry some of the pix are blurry

wow you got yours quick! It looks great on another black accent marker.

I know what you mean about those two screws. It appears to be a somewhat uncommon size in most allen key sets. Maybe I should just include a individual hex key in case people don't have the correct one in their stash. I'll look into that...

Also I should apologize for the current "retail packaging" also known as zip-press bags. I'm having sets of plastic clamshells made for all these new items, but it takes time to get that done...I wanted to start selling these without waiting for rigid retail boxes. They're due next month.

no worries about the packaging. yeah the allen key size was a little weird at 7/64 it would be better if u could go to metric, in my opinion that would be an easier size allen key to find like a size 3 cuz when u ship over seas no one is gonna have imperial sized allen keys.

oh and the top of my mini's grip sticks out about a millimeter or two from the edge of the extender

Wow the extender has a circuit board on it? sweet!

I thought it would only have a wired harness or something similar.

Too good, I'm buying one today!

noooo wire would be a recipe for disaster(lol) To be honest it was primarily a decision made on the size of the parts, since that cute little circuit board allows things to be compact.

Anyway from this point on the extenders will come with an appropriate allen key (so long as the size is different from the stock allen keys being used). I picked up a box of the buggers, they were only like 15 cents each, no biggie!

Are you sure?

The pic in the first page shows the extender to be a tad longer than the axe grip.

Mine is on its way together with a snatch grip. Long trip though, it might arrive next week.

This was as close as I could get to lining up the back so you could see where the front grip ended up:

Yup, that was my estimation.

But the important part is the feeling of it.

I prefer the feel of the extender over the larger trigger guard area of the Axe. It just feels more like the type of front grip I'd have on a scenario marker, which is what I usually use.
