I Like to look of the gun, but 1200$ --> No On/Off? 1100g? as heavy as a Cyborg 07
Today a high end gun should be less then 1kg
Mostly Spoolvalve Guns are lighter than Rammer, what did you guys do to make ist that heavy? A G6R is about 840g, 260g less then the ZR-1

I really want this. I have been dreaming about a marker like this. It's the only high end spool valve that's actually easy to maintain. Everything else requires you to take the bolt tip o-ring off and unscrew firing cans to get to the important stuff. I hated maintaining my PM8 and that isn't even as bad as some of the MacDev spools. This on the other hand is a breeze. My dream gun has been an FEP Quest internals in a DM/NT body/frame style, and that's almost exactly what this is. It's light and tight, ergonomic and comfy, smooth and efficient, and easy to maintain and reliable. True I'll probably end up running my own ASA and regulator, but at least it gives you that option.

Bottomline: I want one. I can't wait until I can afford it.

Have you ever shot one? doesn't sound like it...

The weight balance makes it feel lighter than most newer guns.
A guy from Master Blasters also hinted at the release of an on/off.

I really dont see how people complain about a guns weight... This is supposed to be a sport and your complaining about a gun weighing under 3 pounds.

People will find anything to complain about nowadays, especially when they can't afford it.

I Have gone up to avid extreme sports (first store to have the zr1) and the guys up there let me put a hopper through it (even though i told them there is no way i could buy one right now), the zr1 seems a little big when u look at it next to a geo2 or g6r or other new high end markers but when you hold the marker with a tank and hopper on it, it feels no heavier than any of the other new high ends and the weight distribution of the marker is excellent (extremely comforatable) and with seemingly no kick i really want one

I had my Quest running at 25 psi during the summer months without FSDO. If this thing runs at 50psi stock without tweaking, then I imagine after it's broken in it will be even more incredible. In regards to ease of maintanence, I agree that this drivetrain and that of the Quest are the simplest I've seen. You did however have to lube it after every case. Granted that DMs and MD Spoolies are more complex, you only ever need to take them apart about every 8-10 cases to relube. I think its really a non-issue for any gun and if people cant put aside 10-15 minutes at the end of every day to clean their marker and take care of their kit, then they deserve to have it go down on them out on the field.

Thumbs up for another great marker put out by Chris Cole. Definately an innovator of our sport. I'd put him up there with the legendary Tom Kaye.

Yeah it is pretty sad but you wouldn't say the players of our sport are exactly very muscular or very athletic either though. Weight has become relative nowadays, what is light now is lower than what is light 5-10 years ago.

I can afford a few but honestly guns should be lighter these days. I shave off every ounce I can and Im not a small guy.

Havent you guys seen all the shoe/cleat commercials bragging about how lightweight their product is? Running shoes on a scale? How it shaves 1/10 of a second off?

You really think those guys arent athletic, strong, talented or cant afford it?

Bottom line, you move faster the lighter you are.

Of course this gun being heavier also will make it kick less. The luxe isnt the lightest gun either but Ill have to pick it up first.

I agree. Credit needs to be given where it's due. But I also agree with the price point to on/off point. If I am going to drop that much money on a high end, it should pretty much have the same features as most if not all other high ends in it's class. In this case an on/off just happens to be one of those things others have over this. But like stated, people will ***** just to ***** and feel important online. @Cole69 you did an amazing job here. It's hard for me to look at my first shoebox shocker purchased way back when and this design and wrap my head around how things have been lightened, simplified and stretched like this. Definitely awesome work. I would love to see a "Dark" version with VP trigger, Tadao USB board and matching barrel kit.

edit: Not saying this is a shocker or whatever. Just looking at the technology leaps and bounds. I started with a nelspot and now I'm seeing this kind of spooly being released that's macroless, tiny and such a low OP. Wow. Just wow.

Good luck everyone that owns one has found out this gun beats most guns available. Right now my luxe and g6r are in the closet as this gun has been simply amazing to me. It has performed flawlessly for the last couple months. Wait till more owners pop up. These guns will blow you away.

Coles been in the game since paintball was paintball and is nowhere near new. Like he said this gun have been in the works for years.

looks good, but unless the price drops or all the PE fanboys throw down their egos in favor of this, i'm gonna wait a while before looking further into one of these.
that being said, i'm glad to see another company making what looks like a nice high-end

These all had the gold member bolt, not the stock.

I have no reason to lie, and I no longer own any Quests. It is still however one of the best guns I've ever shot and owned in my 21 years of playing.
