Stealth Marker cannot lower velocity

Hi, Just got my JT Stealth marker... tried to use it the first time this weekend at the local pb field.. when they velocity tested the marker it would not go lower than 305 fps. the field requires anything less than 260. They turned the velocity screw behind the striker counter clockwise... they even removed the screw. Before sending it back to keeactionsports... does anyone have any idea what the problem can be?

Is it brand new? The spring may be too strong..you could cock the bolt back and leave it like for a day or two. It may break in and soften up.

Taking the spring out, putting 2 washers on the ends and then putting a bolt through it and tightening it for about 4 or 5 days should help as well if the cocking the bolt back thing doesn't work.

You can even cut the spring a little bit to reduce the velocity.

thanks for the help.. ill try the washer tip to see if it helps. cutting the spring will be my last resort
