I've used isopropyl three times, and a microfiber just creates swirls and more ****. How the **** do I get my windshield to stop fogging up/looking like ****? It's raining today and it was downright dangerous. I'm getting pissed off because nothing is working.

Have you clayed it? What are you washing your microfibers with? They may be the issue...
Here's what I would do:
Wash with a citrus APC, clay windows with an aggressive claybar, wash again, get BRAND NEW microfiber and dry window.
I had similar issues when my car was brand new. Dealer put some bs "protection" on it and the windows would fog/streak like no other.

Use clean towels or newspaper and stoners window cleaner from any autoparts/walmart.
Did you put any rain-x, aquapel, or rain-x anti-fog on the glass?

I haven't put anything on it. The microfibers I use are freshly cleaned.

try using a glass cleaner. IPA is good for removing dirt buildup, but can leave residue on the glass. Stoner's glass cleaner is about the best OTC product you can get.
spray the cleaner on the window/towel, clean and use the other towel to "polish" the glass until smears are gone.

I. Hate. Morons.
At work yesterday, some guy is scrubbing his wheels with our paint brushes. So I go over to him and say "would you mind letting me handle that for you, sir?"
He gets pissed, like literally livid and says "WHY?! I work here!"
So I say 'Then don't use the brushes on your wheels' and walk away.
Mother****er, I don't give a rats *** if you work here or not, you obviously don't know what you're doing, so don't come and **** my stuff up because you feel entitled to use it.
Not to mention the car was bone dry while he was brushing it.

Anyone have experience with ONR? If so, could i do this?
Spray panel down with ONR with a pump garden sprayer, then wipe it dry with a microfiber. Am i just asking for trouble doing that, or would Griots waterless/ Ultima WW+ be more appropriate for this?

Yeah you could do that but I would really only do it if the panel was lightly covered in dust. Anything more dirt covered and I'd suggest using a 2 buckets of warm water, one with ONR, and a nice microfiber mit.
I never understood the hype of ONR until I washed my car in the garage last year. It was absolutely filthy, covered in salt and dirty, desperate for a cleaning but it was -25 windchill outside and obviously that would not work. I was worried about marring but damnit that stuff really does work. No paint flaws afterwards.

Anyone here heard of/use eco-orange? Local resto buddy of mine told me about it, this stuff is incredible. Spots/stains in seat upholstery that would take hours to extract normally this stuff takes care of in 5 minutes. You can use it on everything. L&P, upholstery, carpets, vinyls, convertible tops, pretty much you name it.

So I got a buffer for Christmas. Any suggestions on chemicals for it? Mainly wanted otc stuff but if there are better deals to be had online, I'll go for those. I'm not sure what else I'll need.

what kind of buffer did you get? WHat are you looking for, a compound polish or wax/sealant?
And buying online will net you much better products for not a lot more money.
If you insist on OTC go to a car-quest, they carry 3M products.

Absolutely has to be diluted. Most apps is a 10:1 or 15:1.
The price was a hard sell, for sure, I was pretty apprehensive, but it's absolutely worth it if you do interior work with any frequency.

Just a generic random orbital buffer I guess. I'm looking for a polishing compound and a good wax. I can do stuff online.
Edit: after doing some more research, I may exchange it and go with a dual action polisher just to stay safe.

I order from eric (autoality) all the time. I sent him an email when I first got into "detailing", he called me the next day and we talked for about 30 minutes about what products I needed.

10-1 is recommended, I've found 7.5/8-1 works better for most upholstery. I spray, let it sit for about a minute, spray some upholstery foaming cleaner, scrub it, then rub it down with a towel. Crazy results. Something like that would've taken ages to extract.
