Washed and sealed my car. Either my washmitt has dirt in it or my microfiber did, because I've got fine swirls all over the car.

I suppose. Then I can check the entire car over and make sure there's actually a 350 under the hood.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

too soon.

Though to be fair, I did get a $3000 check, courtesy of a court order, because they lied to me.

Anybody read anything on the new Chemical Guys Lava Wax?

http://www.autogeek.net/chemical-guys-lava-wax.html

They seem to talk it up pretty good, but then again $69 for an 8oz Jar is a little hard to get over without any solid proof of their claims. I think it's time for a trip out to Autoality, haha.

Yeah I'm gonna pick some up for myself I think. I've been using Blacklight and V7 but durability isn't that great

Yeah that's all talk I bet haha

I'd just use Collinite 845 if I wanted something durable like that.

Yup, my dad bought Blacklight and V7 for his S5, and I use some on the side and it is nice. But my car sits outside (to my dismay) and is daily driven, so I want something that looks amazing and is durable. And it seems that Lava hits the spot.

There was a guy on Autoality's facebook that was doing a weekly update of the Lava, but on week 3 it got totalled, but he had raving reviews of it up til then.

Black beauty polish/glaze + whatever liquid wax you normally use.

Zaino is pretty decent, too.

Price/performance ratio, zaino stuff is legit.

'freals though, if I'm buffing a dark colored car, I'll go 105/black beauty instead of 205. Results are great.

Detailed my car (07 g35x with ~45k) and a friends car (07 wrx with ~110k, minor mods if anyone cares: cobb turbo back exhaust, perrin cai, tuned by akuma) over the course of two days last week. Very happy with the results, it was our first time using a porter cable (used porter cable 7424XP). Also first time using every product we used, normally I'm a zaino kind of guy, but I couldn't be more happy with the results. I must say, I never would have ****ing even imagined how long it would take, but it was well worth it, especially on the Subaru. We also washed and sealed/waxed the GTR, but with only 5k on it the paint is in immaculate condition.

What we did:
Two washes with dawn using two bucket method and grit guard and meguiars wheel cleaner
Claybar
Wash with pinnacle body wash shampoo
PC with yellow pads and XMT #2/#3 depending on area on the Infiniti, yellow pad and XMT #4/#3 on the Subaru
PC with white pads and XMT #1
Sealed and given time to dry with Klasse high gloss sealant (was suggested by a friend, normally like zaino, no complaints)
Waxed with pinnacle souveran wax (it was specifically suggested for red and black cars so thats cool)
Basic finishing up with cleaning of windows and rainx'ing, tire shine, etc.

Used all microfiber wash mits and towels, properly cleaned with microfiber detergent, also cleaned all pads with xmt pad cleaner, works great.

I left my sd card with all the nice pictures at home, so the only pictures i have are from my iPhone 4S, sorry about that. The result were great, no more swirl marks, all minor and medium scratches gone, especially the wrx came out great, in person you would never know the car had 110k on the clock and is not garage kept.

****ty pictures that don't really show much:

Lol, I hate how paranoid I have to be with my dark green paint. It's so easy to scratch. I thought you worked in a detail shop?

Hooked up my new pressure washer today, god damn is it awesome. Now I dont feel so bad about spending the money I did.

I used to work in detail at two different (but equally ****ty) chevy dealers in Pittsburgh, but I have since moved on from that and now work at PepBoys as a Technician, soon to be full flat-rate.

So, I has no access to expensive toys, haha.

What kind of pressure washer?

We just got rid of our old one not too long ago. Thing had to have been 30+ years old, ran on electricity for cold, diesel for hot. New one is nice, but doesn't have hot water

Kranzel 1120T. It's cold/electric. Got a killer deal, ordered from Detailersdomain and got 15% off+free shipping. Saved me like 200 bucks

That'd be easier because all of my equipment is down here, but whatever works. If you came down here earliest I'd be able to do it is this coming wed/thurs. If you wanted me to come to your place it'd be more like the following tuesday.
