Jt Er2

Just picked this up at walmart for $30. It is an awesome gun but the efficiency is meh. Is there any way I can mod the 12 gram chamber to take an HPA tank? Also, is there any cool mods anyone has done to this?

Permanently, or reversible? I haven't seen that mod done to that particular gun yet, but I've seen it on similar designs.

Running an on-gun bottom line tank would be very, very difficult, so we'll stick with a remote setup. Keeps that fun pistol form.

It wouldn't be all that hard to remove the 12 gram piercing pin on the bottom of the valve and drill out and re-tap the hole 1/8 NPT for a standard hose. A short length of braided line to a quick disconnect below the grip and you'd be all set to run a remote.

Another option might be to cut back the body a bit behind the valve so you can access the back of the valve. Drill and tap a 1/8 NPT hole and mount a HPA fill nipple there. Stick an empty 12 gram in the grip and attach a remote hose. The check valve in the fill nipple will let the air pressure in the remote enter the gun, but if you want to run 12 grams again it will keep the valve pressure from leaking out.

I've seen some modified barrels, stock class feeds, and some valve tweaking. Haven't done anything to my personal ER2 yet, got a few other projects ahead of it.

That would work, but the hose port is on the side of that dummy 12 gram. So you'd have the hose sticking out of the side of the grip. Not the cleanest way of doing it.

The issue is that the talon 12 gram is angled back, while the ER2 12 gram is perfectly vertical. Plus I believe they use different threading on the knob.

It should only be length and threading that effect the talon CA adaptor. The angle shouldn't matter. The pierce pin will be angled to meet the CA adaptor correctly in both guns but it will put the tank at a bit of an angle on the er2. That is of course if the threads are the same.

You could always try a spring change or lightning the hammer.

Hi I'm kinda wanting to do this.. I just want to be able to use co2 tanks with my er2 instead of stupid disposable 12g's.. Can anyone point me to a how to, can't seem to locate myself to easily in this forum. I mainly want to attach like a 9oz co2 tank to my er2 for some extra shots ,
Or can anyone give me names of other pump guns that are cheap <$30 ?
Looking to buy a couple so being cheaper helps.

I did a booth for JT where we let people come into a both and shoot the walmart markers that JT sells. They have a bottomline adapter which looks like a 12 gram with the plastic bottom installed. It shot straight off of a Co2 tank so I don't see a problem running hpa off a remote line with this set up.

I'll proofread and edit in the morning.

I doubt they will sell you one even if they have some laying around. There is a special tool to take apart the relay Asa on the axe. When we asked if we could buy one for our shop at a tech class, simon's response was: " well it's a custom one off tool that we are not planning on making. You could take it to a local machine shop and see if they will make you one" So even with something as important as the axe they are not willing to make the necessary tools to take it apart at a service center, I doubt they will want to release something that could potentially be a safety hazard. The reason I say that is the er2 is plastic and if you were to fall with a tank attached to it the tank adapter could sheer out if the gun and go shooting across the room. Keep it simple and run a remote.....

I mean I don't know the difference between that n a remote.. All I really wan is to not have to use 12gram co2 cuz taking it off n putting new one on is annoying.. I just wan a bigger capacity co2 holder like the 9oz I have laying around.. I looked up remote lines but I don't see a conversion one from 9 oz co2 tanks inlet to 12grams outlet.. :/

I helped out with a JT booth as well...we ran a 12g adapter to a slide-check that was fit to a bulk CO2 can.

One of these stuck out of the bottom of the gun...I don't recall what was between that piece and the 12g push-pin....but I've seen some vertical adapters for the t68s that use a 12g with a quick-connect.

thats almost what im looking for!!!
only exception is that instead of the bottom piece (looks like the end to a 9oz cos tank) it would except a 9oz co2 tank there rather than have the same peice and reject it. i guess i want a female part there rather than a male.
ive seen some on ebay that might look like they work but cost upwards of $30 to $60. WTF?!

this looks liek what im looking for,
tanks in a 9oz c02 tank on one end and supposedly has an outlet of a 12 gram cartridge so it will be accepted into the pistol, but $35? when the gun is only $30...
well im buying two thats why the price sucks.
anyone make one of these on their own?
