Do all these PMD's you speak of work with after market bolts? No
Are more markers going towards macrolineless? Yes
Does that mean more manufactures will use their own threads to keep people from using regs that aren't compatible? Yes
Are these guys going to go out and produce bolts for all existing markers? No
Do mini's have a front reg? NO and they are everywhere right now.
This thread is about their bolts. Your "statement" is not consistent with this thread because your solution will not work in all cases with their bolt. They cannot make a bolt that works only with existing markers. They have to look towards the future to see where this industry is going to guarantee they will be around for a while.
It's obvious you don't like to hear what I have to say or like my thoughts so just keep your negativity to yourself. Your attempt to help the DP community is only hurting it in this case. Stop trying to bash me.
DW and Yoda I'm sorry for erupting in your thread but this isn't the first time he/she has done this.

Shots fired! jk
that is very true more markers are going to be macro less which makes it more likely for the reg to be in the grip frame.

why would the reg need to be in the grip frame for it to be hoseless?

The mini's reg is not in the grip frame.
The Impulse's regulators were in the grip frame and were self contained..never had an issue with it.
Gonna be sending out a email for the testers tonight or tomorrow.

one thing that i think we should see more of is either the reg in the asa or the the reg integrated into the bolt, i believe the DAM has the reg like this and i know that dp has a gun like this too.

your referring to the M3A1 where the reg is in the backcap.. not a horrible design, much like the HC Rogue.

The best place for a regulator is as a fore grip. If everyone goes hoseless which might happen, then that means the manufacturers will have another part they can sell to us. Is that so bad? Also IF everyone goes hoseless, then you will need either a new standard for front regulators so that they all thread the same and fit the same or else every company makes their own like it is now.

They dont need to work with them technically. is it really that hard to take the upgraded bolt out and put the stock one with a pmd in? then you can check what OP the uprgraded bolt was running at. im not saying that its the best way to do it but atleast it gives you an option to check your pressures
Are more markers going towards macrolineless? Yes
Yes and No. By the looks of it Dye and PE are not going to release a macrolineless gun anytime soon. they believe that their guns are easier to trouble shoot with external airways. I have always found it slightly easier to trouble shoot markers with macroline but its not that hard to fix macrolineless gun either.
Does that mean more manufactures will use their own threads to keep people from using regs that aren't compatible? Yes
Probably not. or if they do you will see more aftermarket companies starting to create pressure testers for the. some prime examples would be the bob long guns, Clone Gt, and also the CCM J12.
Are these guys going to go out and produce bolts for all existing markers? No
Do mini's have a front reg? NO and they are everywhere right now.
Did you even read my statement? i said all but a select few. the mini/axe is apart of that select few. define everywhere. i dont see a lot of minis where i play. most people around here have highends like egos, geos, g6r, and clones. most of the lowends you see around here are Dp guns, Protos, and ethas.

My question is how do you know what the future holds? for all we know 20 years from now all paintball companies can be out of business and there will be no new modern day markers.
It's obvious you don't like to hear what I have to say or like my thoughts so just keep your negativity to yourself. Your attempt to help the DP community is only hurting it in this case. Stop trying to bash me.
Im not bashing you im just telling you that it is not 100% necessary for all these extra things that you want them to add on to the bolt. remember they are trying to keep the bolt reasonably priced. they plan on doing whats the best for themselves as a company and for the consumer.
DW and Yoda I'm sorry for erupting in your thread but this isn't the first time he/she has done this.

Oh and btw my comments were definitely in line with this thread because i just proved that you dont need a gage on the backcap to check the OP.
If you have anymore complaints about me or want to argue with me some more just send me a pm instead.

You shouldn't have to swap aftermarket parts for stock ones to check OP. Yes its do-able and easy but defeats the purpose.
Dye and PE will switch over when the masses want it, and have perfect their way of doing it.
Mini's are a select few? there is a butt load of them out there. Prob have a pretty large market share too.
Nobody know a what the future holds unless they drive a Delorean and have a flux capacitor. But if your company isn't ready for it the chances of being successful are slim. This is true in any industry.
Their goal is obviously to make a bolt better than the rest. If they had sub par designs and goal they wouldn't waste time trying to make these and we wouldn't suport them. The only thing be asked for is a back cap that is GAUGE compatible, not for them to include one. This is only going to increase design time and maybe production time. It's the small things that make a difference and they are aware of this.
Talking about the G5 isn't spamming when the OP posted about it. Sorry for being anxious for their future products. I believe they have even tried their bolt in a G5 rendering the discusion of it valid.
If you were not trying to bash me you could have Pm'ed me originally instead of quoting twice now.
yea so
