I would have bought one (or more) regardless, but now that I know every attempt is being made to keep this thing made in the US makes me feel a lot better about it for some reason.

This is different from your previous pics of the bolt. Clearly some evolution in design had happened. Looks nice and clean.

It would be a huge plus to have everything made in the USA.

As was noticed with the prototypes, sometimes it cannot be done.
We can both vouch for prior experiences with Chinese manufacturing, But at the end of the day, it really comes down to if the quality is up to par as has already been noted.

Yeah. Evolved design. Took long enough: p

Hopefully these pictures will help people realize that we are not merely running this thread for entertainment - we fully plan on bringing these to production.

that would be a very cruel joke.

the bolt's back cap seems like it is open to the dump chamber does that mean that it could be tapped for a gauge?.

Nope. I don't have the prints handy since my computers are fubar again, but we did discuss the possibility of a gauge and I am fairly certain that was our Consensus.

Rk made a good note; it's different than the first design.

I may have a way to make a back gauge possible - I am looking into it. With the current prototypes that are on their way, it is not doable. It will make the back cap little bit longer, which may be preferable for removal anyways. No guarantees though.

It's a hybrid design that crosses several of the prior ones that have been discussed. We are as anxious to get these in hand as anybody else to see how they do. The prototype was promising, hopefully these do even better.

I think a gauge option would be a huge plus. For fine tuning it would be nice to know exactly where you're at.

have you guys done an efficiency test with this bolt and compared it to the stock/techt. I know that this costs a lot of money because you have to pay for the paint and air but I'm just wondering.

I'm a Valken dealer. Paint is cheap.

No, we have not.

Regardless, I am personally someone who cares more about consistency/accuracy/etc and always have plenty of air, even when playing scenarios.

I'm not quite sure how knowing the pressure on the gun would help with tuning. You set dwell and change pressure to chrono. There isn't really any pressure tuning to be done that a gauge would be necessary for.

I don't have a pressure guage on any of my other guns. At not any that are permanently attached. Testing the pressure at the regulator after the gun is shooting well is usually sufficient.

I agree that the gauge is not necessary but its nice to have it as an option and it makes it easier to tell the pressure, you don't have to remove the reg an test it that way. I'd like the option but its not necessary.

Keep in mind not all markers use a front reg or use the same threads to be able to add a pressure gauge. Making the back cap acceptable of a gauge gives you the guarantee that a gauge is an option on those markers. As far not needing to know the OP for tuning is true as long as everything on the marker is working right. Knowing every variable puts you in much better situation when trouble shooting instead of guessing. Idk maybe this only makes sense in my head but it does I swear.

actually almost every gun uses the same threaded reg besides dye and some protos but dye makes a pressure tester for them. all the macrolineless guns have a Pressure tester made for them by either the company or by some aftermarket company. even your g5 has a pressure tester that is made by dp. its the g4 pmd. Clone gts have a PT, G6r's and marqs have PT, and you can even find a pressure tester for an indy.

and im pretty sure all guns have front regs except for a very select few.
