HE? They're going to release "updates" of those bolts in the coming months because there are two easy things to do off the bat to increase their specs.
I can assure you that we're not into that kind of thing.

Great! I'll be here

awesome
I've getting some testing equipment from a friend at fisher (if their discount works out well enough), so I should be able to go through and have a good idea for our tolerances vs others, the amount of air per shot vs others (this is what depends on the discount ;d ), and a few other things.
I've reached out to a local shop where a friend of mine works in order to see how viable it would be to get a few quick protos made.
I've spoken with the head of the machine shop at my school and should hopefully be able to have some stuff run there.. it's a bit iffy, but I think there's a chance.
Jonathan is out of town till the end of the week and I assume he'll have some stuff to catch up on. That is where I'm getting a wait time of about 2-3 weeks before we are ready to go get quotes. (that's including time since we are both busy)
I'm also working with one of my teachers on getting some fluid simulations for our bolt in order to possibly help tune it for maximum performance across various aspects. This is more of a "as I have time" kind of thing since I need to learn how to use a few programs in order to adequately use and interpret the results. It's also midterms this week.. so it kinda sucks. >.>
Hm.. I think that's all. I feel really stupid for not doing some of this "back end" work while I had the time before school started.

I'd be interested in testing if you still need testers. The prototype is for the G3 right? Let me know what you need from me if you want me to help out.

Yeah. It's a pain because I'm making super epic spreadsheets for parts for our projects and trying to line up the best deals I can to minimize costs all around (not just for us..), and I really hope they're still there. I did something similar for when I bought my car (listed out insurance quotes, est mpg, MSRP, invoice, actual, blue book, etc and then through it into a ranking), etc. Not to mention actual school work which is on the side since this needs to get handled asap.
I will be out at Pekin Paintball Park in IL this sunday with Darkh20 if anyone is around and wants play and *possibly* see one of our prototype revisions (the one we had issue with, lol) just to show that we're not blowing smoke up everyone's arse. I'm going to see if I can get the finish, well.. finished a bit better with some HIGH grit sand paper and buffing. Might work, might not. Either way, I'll still be out there and probably will end up using my pink mech ion from the kits jonathan and I sell.
In regards to this project, Jonathan is still chugging away at some stuff.
I just got my Fisher Scientific catalogs in, so I will be ordering some testing equipment in the next few days once I figure out costs and if my discount applies to pressure transducers (and possibly a sexy oscilloscope) as well. Yeah. Pressure transducers. Can ya'll see where I'm going with this? =DDD

Naw. More like doing whatever I can get done on my part to try and expedite everything by getting "other" things out of the way. Keep in mind that I am in IL and Jonathan is in NY. If we were actually close, this bad boy would be up and running a lot sooner.
