Probably a week or so before we have results.

I didn't say that. The list of testers besides this one is pretty much settled.
If you are someone we chose, you will be contacted once this round is done.
I did however mention to several people and in this thread that it will be shipped out to Bryce Larson from Punkworks. (hopefully I spelled all of that right) This is because they have the equipment to give us a detailed breakdown of how our bolt system affects the marker. Once we receive the results, we will do one of two things: a. take the current build to production or b. revise the bolt system with minor adjustments and then have it tested again.

The Techt bolt is fine in that it does improve efficiency and reduces recoil, but currently their bolt extends into the reach and that means some times paint hangs up on the bolt face and doesn't drop into the breach. An actual bolt engine that gets the internal operating pressure down to around 120psi would be cool. Something like the Macdev Drone DX bolt engine adapted to fit in the G4 would be amazing. Have the bolt engine seal inside the gun without using the existing bolt o-rings. Have the entire bolt pull out of the gun as one piece with the back cap like most bolt engines work.

The current design doesn't lend itself to being able to be removed from the gun as a single unit. Very few potential layouts of a system that could fit a DP gun would be able to do that either.
Most that can be removed that way have a forward can that the bolt and bolt sail seal against and ride in (usually called the beercan in an older Matrix). The G-series guns have the bolt sail riding directly against a bore machined into the gun (or an o-ring directly in the bore). No fully contained bolt makes it tough to accomplish that.

As soon as we get the preliminary test results and I have the prototype back in hand to inspect for wear/fatigue/etc... to determine if any changes need to be made, I will make a batch of bolts to send out for testing. We're as anxious as anybody else to get to the next step

Hey guys. I haven't really been very active in this thread, but have been keeping up with it. I do some gun design and your project and mine may help each other. On a side note I have a techt'd G4. I do a lot of gun teching. Is there any way I can "get in the loop"?
