Spray on Rubber
I forget what it's called, but there was this ad on TV (wow, I was actually watching the tube today ) and it was showing off this spray on rubber solution that once contacts a surface, sticks to it and rubber coats it and is water proof, thick, durable, etc.
Has anyone used it or remember what it's called? I was considering picking up some cheap plastic panel grips and spraying it over the grips to make a thin but sticky grip that can also work to seal/waterproof my board.
If anyone has experience with it, what have you tried it on? Have you done it between the frame and body of a marker before?
Let me know what your thoughts on this are.
(It's called FlexSeal, thanks LiL Nguyen)

Hmm, that works too.
and lol, I'd love to have a spray on TV. Moving would be so much easier.

Well, I wouldn't top anything vital with it. I was thinking along the lines of stuff like Pump handles and mech frames.
maybe electronic frames if it proves to be worthy.

No reason not to stay prepared. Y'know, just in case if a random leak springs. Just spray some on and you're good to go.

they have a plastic dip too, for screw driver handles and things of that nature.
i was thinking about using it on my axe front grip.
with experience on it with hand tools, its pretty easy to remove or cut with an exacto knife. it just kinda stays as one piece and molds around whatever u dip in it, not bonds to the surface exactly.
im thinking the spray would adhere to the surface you spray it on tho

I used the plati-dip chicken bot posted on the steel brackets on my pool and its held up very well to the assault of chemicals that go into pool water.

that stuff is more along the lines of a hardcoat/powdercoat though. not sure bed liner would do the trick in this case

Much like how shamwow is just rebranded autoshammy. That spray on rubber is the same as that bedliner. You can also find rubber dip. It comes in a paintcan and people use it to dip their too handles in; I did it for my ps3 controller haha.

I,ve used plastidip for other projects. Important: if the surface is smooth, try to pass a scotchguard on it, or the paint will not properly stick to it. By "ruffing" the surface, the paint adhere to all the micro cavities, not just the edges.

rubberized undercoating is what you want. Same exact thing as what that infomercial solicts. Can be found in any auto store. like 5-10 bucks for a big can of the stuff. Just make sure to clean the nozzle good after you finish or it will get goopy and not spry properly.

My cousin used it on the emblem of his car. It only looked like spray paint though
