Sony looses money per unit on the PS3. They are a shadow if their former self.
I have switched back and for from different phones for years... Including the iPhone. You seem to put a lot more faith in brand loyalty than is justified in a field where brand loyalty doesn't truly exist.
I had 4 mp3 players before apple ever came out with their iPod. The only thing the iPod changed was the interface for syncing, they in no way created the MP3 player or it's market. The Dell jukebox was one of the top 3 mp3 players for some time.
The touch wasn't a breakthrough. The iPhone was. Every spin off product (itouch, iPad, touch nano) has been nothing to push the envelope further.
The average apple customer doesn't consider toshiba, and the average toshiba customer and afford/doesn't desire to use OSX.
And all of this information you found where?
Also, every all companies lose money on their consoles: microsoft, nintendo, and sony. They make A LOT from the games.
You do know Sony invented the blu ray technology, right?
The iPod created more than a user friendly syncing system, it created a mobile OS. I think you're getting the jukebox confused with the creative zen, which is the platform the jukebox was based off of. You just lost all credibility in your posts by referring to the iPod Touch as an iTouch. I have no idea where you're getting your information from about these companies, but you should do some research and not just make assumptions.
So my dad told me its time to be a big boy and pay some stuff on my own lol...Car insurance and Cell..I think Im just going to go ahead and leave the Tmo boat and jump on ATT (after the insane amount of **** I talked about them) once the next iPhone comes out..thoughts? Anyone know how to get a cheaper plan?

I'm done here.
1. They made money on every console up to the PS3. They were forced to take the loss because they were late to the party and didn't have a real game variety at launch. Microsoft and Nintendo did a much better job of having titles prepared at launch, thus the razor blade sales model worked much better.
2. Yeah they developed the standard with several other companies. However it's coffin nail was already on the market before it debuted... Streaming.
3. Apples original iPod interface was virtually identical to everyone else's sans the scroll/click wheel. The Zen was a competitor as well, but my statement stands. iPod touch or itouch? What's the big ****ing deal? I'm typing this out on a phone. Spare me the whining.

Just realized that all I would be doing is de-taching myself from my parents bill and making my own,so the 2 year contract is still very much in play. So from the looks of it I will not be able to get out unless I pay that fine. Meh oh well.

Just because you dangle from Apple's apples doesn't make anything I said less true..
People need to stop treating Apple as the company that can do no wrong. It is almost cult like. Some of their products are incredible, they really do set a standard for a couple of years... however most are decent to mediocre. The Airport Extreme? The Time Capsule? Apple TV? The Mac Mini? The Macbook? The Mac Pro? I have owned all of these products... none of which were were anything special, had design flaws, and were priced at 2-3 times what they should have.

If you don't like apple, stop buying their products. Apple is doing better than any company right now. Statistically, it's proven. Idk what you're not understanding.
The information you provided is your opinions, not facts.
I personally don't like a lot of things about apple. I just got my first MacBook this summer. I've had an iPhone for awhile now and have always had an iPod.

Mac Pro: Faulty logic boards and cooling system.
Macbook: Poorly engineered materials led to cracking to the body.
Mac Mini: Faulty Logic boards and ports frying.
Apple TV: Faulty IR Receivers.
Time Capsule: Drives dying, data corruption during power cycles, dead units within 1 year.
Airport Extreme: Sudden loss of range. DNS loss. Dead Units within 1 year.
These are common issues. Not my opinion.
I have owned any and every apple product under the sun. I first hand have used them day in and day out. As I said, some products have been spectacular and pushed the market (macbook air, original iphone, original ipod) but most were rushed to market with flaws or lackluster components at astronomical prices.

And other companies in the technology industry don't have problems....? I'm just not sure what you're trying to say. I meant everything you've said in the past page or so has been your opinion about companies and apple. You have no facts or statistics other than 1 article. You can't predict the future, but obviously trends are available. Every company is different. Apple is on top because they know how to create loyal customers. It's much easier and cheaper to have returning customers than to find new ones.
If you want to argue business strategies, by all means I would love to. I will be graduating with my BA in business management and a minor in biology in the spring.
If you want to continue this discussion, just pm me. I don't want to clutter this thread with ramble.
It just drives me nuts that people who own a handful of apple products are willing to stab you when you point out known flaws in a product and how they release their products. However someone who has to maintain them daily and has owned virtually anything they have made in the last ten years just doesn't seem to know what they are talking about.
If an HP, Dell, or Lenovo has any of the issues an Apple computer has... people will never buy their product again. But when they happen just as often with Apple, it's just a fluke. Logic doesn't apply to Apple products.

Implying they haven't had issues?

I agree with everything you have said. Everything has issues and bugs. From experience, most all of my dells have had many more serious issues that required contacting the factory. I have only had a few issues with my MBP and I was able to resolve them myself.
Regardless of issues and bugs, Apple is clearly doing computers right and their numbers show it.
In contrast, I have a problem with the PC guys that immediately shun you for owning anything Apple. I think it is quite ridiculous.
