Well just grabbed for myself an 11" MacBook Air last night, vast improvement over the '10 White MacBook I was using. I really dig the weight difference, and it should even fit nicely inside my CamelBak M.U.L.E. if I wanted it to...
Since I've been on a hiatus from video editing for a long time, I'm tempted to disconnect my 27" cinema display from my Mac Pro and use it as a monitor for my MBA now.

How does everyone feel about iTunes 11 and/or the Podcast app?
Crazy to see a company lauded for its simplistic UIs release two abominations.

Besides running a bit slow, and no longer showing episode descriptions, I don't have a problem with the podcast app. |

So I gave my wife my old 13" white MacBook, however I didn't want to reinstall OS X, but for all intents and purposes it's wiped clean, I went in to Settings --> Users & Groups and changed my Admin profile from my name to hers. I also removed my iCloud and Gmail accounts and added hers. However when she goes to write an e-mail it says it's from her iCloud e-mail but it still has my name attached as the sender.
I went into Settings --> iCloud and tried to manually change the name but it just goes back to mine.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Contacts/address book --> find her contact card --> (on top menu bar) card --> make this my card

Maybe someone here will know of this problem...
My buddy bought my imac from me, and when he goes to drag a file from the imac to his external drive, it wont let him and the file turns into a circle with a line through it. Yes the drive is formatted for mac.

Check the permissions on the drive, it's formatted to hfs+ |

Yea I wish I had sold mine when it was at $700. I got in around $80 so I'll make money either way, but if it keeps going down I'll have to ditch it. I wish I hadn't sold my google now  |

My mid 2010 mbp is in for a service, the gfx failed and apparently fried the rest of the logic board along with it.. No applecare, but it seems Norwegian consumer law forces Apple to fix it for free |

I am 18 and want to get a MBP for school, but since I am young I can't get approved for apple financing or best buy. Since I don't really have any family who would cosign, is there any other options I have that I don't know about? Thanks, sorry for the stupid question.

If you have a bank account that you've had for a awhile, you may be able to get a loan from your bank. Or get a job that does tuition reimbursement. That's how I bought a computer when I was first starting college.
