Trading Summer wheels with my friend for his 18x8 Aristos. Currently they're pearl white, but I'm gonna get em refinished over the winter in Gold.

Wheel dilemma solved, lol.

I really wanted LM's. But I found my wheels which are very similar for alot less with tires locally. What do you have for rear control arms?



Also could you do me a favor and ask one of your techs what the best diagnosis for a Haldex clutch pack problem?

From what Ive been hearing / reading I need a new pre charge pump. No awd on the lift in first, only the fronts spin. Also I get that code via Vagcom "Haldex Clutch pack Random" And it comes back on after clearing it (No CEL though).

I can't wait til spring. Don't recall showing any with my rack. That things never going back on though.

Don't have anything done for rear arms, havent really looked into that much. Is there any particular reason?
Wanna sell me your wheels? Lol, I'd love to have those things, just couldn't pull off the blue on my car.

I'll ask around, but if you get me the code for it I'll look it up in the Generic Scan Tool DTC tables on ElsaWeb. And there'd be no CEL cuz its not emissions related thats the only way CEL's come on is if it make's you un-green

You do need to come down to Georgia in May though, best show you'll ever go to.


Ohhh... and since I've apparently moved to Seattle over the last week (practically non-stop rain), I can spin through 3rd, and on a hard accel from about 40 in 2nd gear I'll spin also, I love boost. I can't wait til we get snow covered parking lots

Ill pull the code tomorrow at work.

I just put Front brake lines, New Dot4, Rotors, Akebono's and Winterforces on the C5 Last week. Could not get the tires loose after our big snow storm hit. Safe, but no fun for me this winter unless we get a foot haha.

Im refinishing the wheels for summer so no I would like to keep them Refinishing the lips, Red/Gold BBS center cap, Gold bolts, Gray face. I cannot stand looking at the Teal anymore.

My $50 exhaust. 2.5" down pipe, 3" high flow cat, 2.5" cut out. Sounds good, ill still eventually do a muffler, but im trying to do total budget on this car. next gonna try to find some cheap wheels, and coil overs.

Chip
plus pretty much all the regular b5 a4 maintenance.

I've thought about the ESM 17x9 LM reps but they're ~$1,000 new, but you're only a few hundred away from a wide variety of wheels (used) at that point.

Needless to say, I've found quite a bunch at reasonable prices. I preferably want 18x9 and may go up to 9.5", and lowest is 8.5" as the TT has some wide wheel wells to fill and I wanna get some flush yet purposeful stance going on the racecar so I can fit some meat in there too to put this power down.

It's a joy to drive and going through a intersection in 1st gear and hitting boost with the wheel turned ever-so-slightly to have the back end come swinging through the turn, haha, I can't get enough of that.

Yo guys, been thinking about picking up a nicer DD. Have always liked the Audi TT, few for sale locally, not too expensive. 7K obo for an 02 with 100k on it.
Anything i should be looking for in particular on these? I will be searching the forums hard before jumping on a car obviously. I'm not really looking to modify it in any way, maybe a boost controller to up the boost for a little pep and some wheels/exhaust later on.

True, but 90% of them are staggered, and I don't want that if I get a new set of wheels.

Take your time and find a 225 TT, its a basically the equivalent to at TTS in today's model.

Nforcer what turbo do you have? Once my tax return comes, I wanna go 3" dp and possibly a gt28 with straight pipes. Im hoping for mid to low 300 at the wheels.

Do you have new connecting rods? I heard that they go kaput at 350TQ. I want to do pistons as well. I am in DIRE need of a battery relocate and Evap delete.

GT3076R with an internal wastegate. It's fun as hell, but sometimes the turbo lag can be a bit excruciating, But I'm looking at ways to help alleviate that issue. I'd look at say a GTX28 series. The new billet wheels and such are pretty impressive.

I have upgraded: Rods, Pistons, and exhaust valves. If you're going BT, might as well save up and do it right as it's just more trouble than its worth if you dont.
