We had a total of 28 teams sign up in D4 with 26 teams paid. Right away it reminded me of 2007 and my first CTS event (Yea, we got smoked). The sea of cars as far as the eye could see and everyone getting geared up for battle… it was AMAZING!!!!

With this turnout your voice has been heard and it is clear and resounding sending a message to the MW Paintball scene that you care about keeping the Midwest on the map when it comes to tournament paintball! It also speaks clearly to the fact that you guys, the D4 teams, those of you newly discovering this sport that you are the future of paintball and any hope of keeping the sport that we all love and hold true alive.

I was not in the captains meeting when you guys made the decision not to play however, I’m sure it was not an easy one to make nor taken lightly, however it was made and now we must move forward. It took me this long to post up because we wanted to provide you with a couple of options that might possible work for everyone…. Here are your options.

1. Run the event the weekend before the PSP, New Jersey Event.

2. We can talk with Fox to see if about pushing out the event they’re a couple of weeks and run this event the weekend after The PSP NEO event at The Badlandz.

3. Roll everyone over into the event at Fox (possible make it a double points event?) and playing this event the first week of October at The Badlandz.

(Note: Please keep in mind that due to scheduling and with 2 NPPL events & World Cup, we will need to bring in another source of reffing for a couple of these options as Aftershock will either be playing or preparing for those events.)

I would like to say that, in looking at this year compared to the last couple of years, we have gained quiet a bit of momentum in the local tournament scene and we just want to keep on going! We truly appreciate you all for supporting the MWXL. So no matter what you guys decide, as a thank you and for all your troubles as we know scheduling can be a ***** (not to mention the potential extra gas money to be spent coming back out to the Landz a 3rd time), The Badlandz Paintball Field & Chicago Aftershock would like to give all of the teams that signed up (and paid) for this event the following:

August 6th PSP NEO Practice at The Badlandz, $29.99 Case and Entry or $20 BYOP! We will have two (2) fields up and Aftershock will be there grinding and running points against teams part of the day.

AND

HALF PRICE ENTRY INTO THE FINAL MWXL EVENT #5 AT THE BADLANDZ!!!

Please feel free to post your thoughts but, I would ask the captains of all of the teams to PM me with which option you would prefer… the majority will rule

We will also be contacting the captains/teams via phone call this week

Ok Guys (and Gals),

Based on your feedback and schedules, here are the dataes for the last three (3) MWXL events...

Event #3 (Re-Run) August 21st @ The BadlandZ
Event #4 September 25th @ Fox Paintball
Event #5 October 9th @ The Badlandz

I will re-open registration for MWXL #3 on APPA for any new teams that want to get in and get some
