If you have to shoot 50 cal and you have enough for the ego id say go that way. Spyders, while great begginer markers arent really known for their high quality feel.

Get an Ego and 50 cal kit. That way if you have to use 68 cal you can, and are not just stuck with one caliber.

ego 7 or 8 and conversion. So you can switch between calibers. Note though that .50 loaders have a hard time fitting in the feedneck without making some sort of collar to put around the hoppers feedneck. Thats the downfall to the ego conversion.
