so there are an awful lot of threads out there where new G3/G4 owners are looking for the best upgrades for their guns/what upgrades are available.

well here is the page of the best upgrades available for your new marker! and everyone else will agree!

1st: new barrel is what most of you are thining. stock barrel isnt terrib, but a lot of people seem to not like the stock? there's plenty of barrels around!!! all are great! some reccomended and commonly used barrels are

-Lurker Eigenbarrel
-TechT iFit kit
-Furious lotus
-Dye Ultralite Barrels
-Eclipse shaft barrels
-any good barrel kit!!!

2nd: Bolt!

it's under fundemental agreement that the TechT L7 Bolt Engine is the best improvement for the G series markers.

The TechT Bolt Engine will make your G4 more accurate by reducing recoil and barrel rise. It'll also make the G4 MUCH more quiet and more efficient.

3rd: If you're playing recball or semi uncapped tournaments the stock board will do you just fine! but for players playing PSP style tournaments and X-ball you're going to need an upgrade board. and the APE OLED is all around agreed to be the best board available for the g3/g4!!

After those three upgrades, there really is no way to further improve your marker. it is upped to the MAX and is without a doubt awesome!

there are many other aftermarket parts/upgrades for the G3/G4, here is the list of all that i can think of (including the ones i already listed)

LIST OF ALL THE AVAILABLE UPGRADES
-APE rampage board

-7th element board
-NDZ back cap (for use with stock bolt or L7 bolt (not the bolt engine)

-PMD (pressure measuring device)

-any DM threaded feednecks will fit the G3/G4/SpecR
-any standard ASA threaded HPR will fit the G3/G4/SpecR
-Most ASA's with a standard rail mount will fir the G3/G4/SpecR (there has been some asa's known to not fit
-Miscellaneous triggers (ex CP, Violent Series etc)
-Any Autococker threaded barrels wil fit the G3/G4/SpecR
-Miscellaneous grips

With all do respect sir, this isn't the barrel section. We aren't barrel experts. Some may give opinions, but we are all biased, your best bet is to go ask in the barrels forum here on PBN. You will get more answers here, as far as Im concerned, none of us DP regulars have used it.

why is a new board needed for psp? The stock board has psp3 shot, adjustable bps, and adjustable ramp point.

yeah you cant do 12.5bps but its still tourny legal.

edit: okay you incorporated the g3 in with the g4 and spec r. i think you should specify what upgrades are specific. if i remember right, APE is the only company that made a board just for the new guns (spec r and g4) rest of them require you to hack the power button. also, the l7 bolt and backcap are for the g3 only.. dont need anyone buying them for their spec r.

Yes you can put a pillow bolt in your DP and it will make your DP ultra efficient, very low recoil and super low pressure. Oh and by the way, the DP bolt is 100% cross compatible with the entire Tippmann product line. After all Tippmann engineers decided to start their own company and named it "Dangerous Power". They "stole" all their designs from Tippmann and basically copied Tippmann's designs almost identically in the DP product line.

Another excellent cross platform upgrade that I have heard about is the MacDev Clone bolt system in the DP G4. All you need to do is unscrew your back cap, pull out the bolt and screw in the MacDev bolt engine. Your DP will shoot lasers, run at 90psi, shot to shot consistency will go to around plus or minus 3bps and you will get around 2500 shots out of a 68/4500 tank. This is an expensive upgrade, but a really awesome one.

A great tourney board for the DP G3/G4 is the Virtue board for the dye DM11. you have to install it upside down in the DP frame, but it is far better than any board made for the DP series. It will give you all the great tourney features the stock DP board lacks.

On Tippmann 98's there is a really inexpensive upgrade that works wonders to reduce recoil. Get a pre-2003 cocker bolt. There is a thin area in the middle of the bolt which is a natural place to cut the bolt off. You just need the front part of the bolt so just snap it off from the back part and use it in place of the front bolt in your Tippmann 98.
