Excellent Dirt Cheap Gearbag @ Costco

I was looking around for a new gearbag the other day and was reluctant to dish out over $100 for one. Out of curiosity I jumped onto the Costco website and found this:

fūl 30" Drop-bottom Rolling Duffel

For $40 I couldn't pass it up and I have to say, this thing rocks. While it doesn't have the "paintball specific" features you might see in other bags I can live without them for this price. The upper inner compartment has zippered pockets for tools and accessories, there is a wet/dry zippered pocket on the side that is perfect for nasty shoes, the other side pocket fits my grills just right and there is a separate bottom compartment that I'm using for pods and a pod pack. The only gripe I have is that the wheels look a bit small so I'm worried about them breaking, however the bag has a 10 year warranty so it might be covered if they do.

Nice find. What's the inner space like for guns, tanks & hoppers?

Right now I have my Ego (in the case), Empire B, Empire Reloader, two 68/4500 tanks, pants, and three jerseys in the top half. In the bottom I have like 12 pods and a pod pack. Got plenty of room to spare still in both compartments even with all the other little things like rags and swabs floating around.

I keep my shoes in the wet/dry compartment and my mask in the zippered pocket by the extending handle.

It could still hold a lot more stuff.

I have the same bag (Forest green and grey) and I can fit all my stuff in there. It is huge, and extremely well made. Got to love Costco!!! I saw another bag, literally the same with a different name on it, at an outlet mall retailer for $150!!! Honestly, that is ridiculous. My wife was actually the one to point it out to me.

In the bottom, I have my gun hardcase with 3 guns, my barrel kit case, 2 tanks, and my Rotor. In the top i have all my clothing, pack/pods, and my mask. In one end I have my cleats (wet/dry compartment on the one side), and on the other side I have my parts kits and all my paintball tools. I still have room to spare!

How long have you had yours? I'm kinda wondering how the wheels are going to hold up over time, they just seem dinky.

The wet/dry compartment is probably the best feature I've ever seen in a gearbag, I can't believe I haven't seen it on a paintball bag before. No more stinky cleats getting over all the rest of my gear!

^^I have used mine for about a year now. I dont have to go over the hills and thru the woods, but it is still uneven terrain. Wheels still look good.

Finally got in the local Costco and checked this bag out. It IS huge, but much like the typical large gearbag. However, it was too big for my preference - i don't pack much for the field these days, and i don't stash everything in a bag.

Instead, i found THIS! Except it was only $30 in-store.

In the pic, this is what i've got in there:
Left pocket (above wheels) - 45/45, 13/3k, and rags.
Right pocket (above handle) - revvy, app 50 rd, spray bottle, jar of hater, headwear.
Side pocket - set of allens, barrel condom, parts bag.
Main pocket - pump in a gatwrap, toolbox, 2 pods, harness, squeegees, arm pads, change of clothes, more rags, sportscam (in black case on top).
Flap mesh pocket - docs.

Nice, is that the one that is more like a duffel bag?

I'll have to put some pics of mine up

Yeah. It's weird cuz there IS just a plain duffle bag about the same size, then this rolling duffle bag, but in-store they cost the same. The plain duffle is a little bigger (like 6" bigger), but if it ain't got wheels then it ain't leaving the garage.

The small one is $25 at my costco, there's a $5 instant rebate on it right now. Both sizes look nice.

Was at costco a few days ago and saw the $25 one and it was appealing. Might pick it up and give it a shot.

Trident has started a fad. Be careful, Costco might catch on, re-label the bags, and charge 3x as much.

I actually saw the smaller one too. Look as good as the larger ones, but I cant cram all my gear into it. I like having one bag I can wheel from the house to the car with all my stuff together (I am anal about organization).
