Open 5man Division

I have been hearing of old school players and new school players who are now ranked too high to play GPL/MAPL who miss playing so here is my idea.

Final event in Oct this year, run an OPEN 5man Division. I will make sure it is set up with APPA that it will not negatively affect your ranking especially for those who are under D2 who want to play in this division.

I am hoping to keep the entry the same as the other 5man division ($250). Pending what you guys want as prizes.

First I would like to know if this is something people are interrested in. Second, if you are, what kinds of prizes are you looking for?? I could keep it the same as the D3, or we make the D3 the open division. A suggestion was paint for NPPL Vegas or PSP World Cup. Im looking for honest feedback from you guys the players.

Help me give you guys what you want.

The D4/D5 Division will not change, it will stay the way it is...

It could be an addition OR an instead for the D3 Division. Some of the D3 may step up to the open division. Im looking for feedback from the players however.

as long as it does affect appa rankings.keep the prizes the same as d 3 5-man.these are some of the best prizes around for some time now. this will enable guys who play local tournaments to continue to play local tournaments and not be locked out.but i think you still have to have some kind of restriction or classification system.i think your old system was better and helped preserve the abilty of guys to be able to play local tournaments.

I would make sure it would not affect rankings. What kinds of restrictions? Im looking to do something to bring old gpl players who cant play because of their D1 and D2 rankings..

Looking for IDEAS and SUGGESTIONS!!

My suggestion is not to necessarily have an open divison, but have a D2/D3 divison, like it use to be. I know a lot of players including myself who will be ranked D2 next season and still wanna play locals.

This is mainly for this season only. Next season we will revamp according to the demand. Im looking at the final event, a division for those D1 and D2 players who grew up playing the GPL who now can not play becaue of ranking.

This is a stand alone thing for the final event.. Feedback??
