Which Canon Telephoto?

So im about to get the Canon 7D and i was trying to decide on a lens 70-200/300 would be ideal.

Anyways these are the lenses i was looking at:
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM Lens
Sigma APO 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM II Macro Zoom Lens

I was wondering what kind of experience you guys had with these lenses or if you would suggest something else for action sports lenses. I am on a budget but these lenses are in my price range

Post or PM! Thanks!

Cameron

70-200 2.8 Canon. That lens is a beast and would work great on the 7d. If you are shooting mostly sports then there is no need for IS/OS unless it was like pool or something of the sort.

Thanks for the input guys, i do have a correction. Sigma APO 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM Lens - NON OS!

dont know if that changes anything but for around $900 that seems like it wouldnt be a bad choice

i've got a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM II Macro Zoom Lens and i'm in love with it, i like the 2.8 just because i can shoot indoor also and this lens didn't break my wallet. Don't get me wrong, the canon is PHENOMENAL, but if your wallet can't keep up with it... you can't go wrong with the sigma. i snagged my sigma for 650(more than my budget, but it was a good choice in the end)

with time in life, i'll own a canon 70-200 for sure. but for now, my broke *** college wallet said this will do also! lol.

i can get some sample pics if you would like

Nope, we're good.

dpreview and thedigitalpicture offer great reviews if you'd like to compare sharpness and hear about the AF differences.
