it was good talking to you the other day rob!

and its a good thing to educate this more and more. its not always the players fault. it can often be the fill station that impropriety maintenance..

Its a good thing for players to know that compressed air and oil do not mix in hopes that they will be more aware of an oil residue on the fill hose or bleed valve on fill stations as well as not to put it anywhere that air enters the tank..

alot of ppl also get thrown off, this does not mean you cannot use lube on the threads that screw into your asa to help cause the metals to not bind when screwing your air source into your marker.. tho its a wise idea to make sure you have pressure in the tank to ensure no lube gets into the tank reg thats not fully synthetic.

i think this / or a warning lable or some form of paper work should be sold with paintball tanks so that all new to HPA users are educated about this right from the ghettgo

We actually revised our laser engravings to include the words "USE NO OIL" directly above the fill nipple. That way, each time someone works on a fill nipple or goes to fill it, they will see that laser engraving. We thought this would be the most effective way to let players know not to use oil in that area.

I personally want to thank all of the players and store/field operators for helping us with getting the word out about the dangers of oil and compressed air.

Yes, you can use grease in that area. Its always good to put a little lube on the threads to act as a lubricant between the threads on your asa and regulator. It helps prolong the life of the threads

We're more concerned with players putting oil in fill nipples to take care of leaks.

Just so everyone knows, I had a conversation with the player that owns the bottle and reg above. The gentleman in the picture is his friend. His friend survived with only 2nd degree burns but the ignition was not due to them putting oil in the regulator. He showed me pictures of the white "oxygen" cylinders that the field had a fill station and fill whip attached to so players could fill their bottles with pure oxygen. PLEASE DO NOT EVER DO THIS. ONLY USE APPROVED PROPELLANTS FOR OUR SPORT. THIS INCLUDES CO2, HPA, AND NITROGEN ONLY.

Keep in mind the burns he received went through armpads and a padded jersey before reaching his skin. He is very lucky he did not lose his life. This stuff is no joke guys.

was told the air supplier the field uses didnt know there was oxygen in them. They actually use the same white cylinder for hpa and oxygen with no outside label signifying what gas is inside.
