NEIC Class A 2011-2012 Discussion thread.

So it's about time to start talking about next season.

New Schools

If anyone is interested in playing Class A in the NEIC for 2011-2012 season, this is the place to start saying so.

Fields/Schedule

Here is most likely what we're going to do:

Event #1: late Sept
Event #2: late Oct/early Nov (ideally NOT Halloween and before DST ends)
Event #3: early April

As for fields, depends on who joins this year. If it's the same schools, would like to do a non-Matt's event farther south so Rutgers can do a non hotel event.

Anything else?

Just curious to see if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, thoughts etc?

What location were you thinking for a non-Matt's event?
And so far, I haven't heard anything from any CT school teams joining Class A. I doubt the Hawks or any other teams will have funding for it.

And if we have event 1 the weekend of the 24th, I'm sure Rutgers will be having more birthday shenanigans for Alex

for the non-Matt's event, could we talk to a more northern field in NJ? maybe meadowlands would be interested?

Agreed, we want to be fair to the teams at each end of the conference.

look into meadowlands for the event closer to rutgers, its still a bit up the turnpike for rutgers, but under an hour

i heard meadowlands is pretty nice, my team has been wanting to practice there for a weekend this season anyway so id probably be down for ncpa

yea i am pretty sure, we are not going to be able to get the funding to play class a. I'm not the captain, but pretty positive its out of our reach.

Our fundraiser game is 15-16 OCT, so if that weekend could be avoided, that would be grr-8.
AS for the meadowlands, that is the first place I thought of when you said "Closer to Rutgers".

What locations are you looking for. We are in Syracuse, NY and just installed a all new turf field and would be up for an event if it works for the schools.

Place looks absolutely amazing. I wish we could do something here but I believe Syracuse is too far for everyone (Rutgers, West Point, UConn, NEU).

Were still fighting to come back this season.

But you might want to look into the playground for an event. Not sure if they have an xball field or not though, but its about 30-45 minutes outside of Philly.

Rutgers has played there b4, pretty sure they have a big enough field w/ turf

I don't think that NEU would like to drive 5 hours to an event, especially not knowing if Drexel is going to be in the conference this year.

We, Hartford don't have funding or the players. We look forward to Scrimmaging uconn if thats possible. (going to be at matts ALOT more)
