kjw 1911 hammer rubbing

I just baught a used kjw 1911 and I found that the hammer is rubbing on the blowback unit. This may be the reason that this gun jams in the back position when I shoot it. What is the best way to stop it from rubbing? Sand paper?

You could shave the hammer down, since it's not really a necessary piece that has to keep it's size. Before you sand it though just check to see if it's getting caught on the slide itself or a loose screw on the underside of the slide. My 1911 got stuck on a small screw that was loose and once I tightened it the jamming stopped.

ok, then sandpaper it is. It's rubbing on the blowback unit, there aren't any screws there on mine. Thanks for the advice!
