Got a question

So here's the boat I'm in I'm gonna pick a new luxe up soon,an I was wondering when one of the urethane o'rings go bad can I just replace it with buna or should I replace it with the urethane? Thanks guys an have a great day

The manufacturer recommends the orings due to tolerances.
Bunas are produced at a much higher volume, leading to less stringent quality control. It may take 10 bunas to finally find one that will work correctly, but then you lose the abrasion resistance of urethane and more true to size of urethanes.

McMasterCarr is where I get my urethane orings.

Plus Buna's will wear a lot faster and have a higher tendency to swell and be effected by temperature.

So now that we know the difference between buna and urathane, with urathane sounding like they are just higher quality orings. What's up with the hbnr orings? Why use those vs urathane?

Also noticed urathane orings are kinda hard to find?!? I figured oring monkey would have them. But I guess I figured wrong.
