The only thing about the 98c is they might be a little heavy for a smaller person to carry around for a while. I would say the spider sonix. Not to expensive and pretty easy to maintain.

i hate saying this But GET A TIPPMAN there the most reliable out there. from time to time if she is truly into the sport then buy her a crappy cheapo 50 dollar gun and make her use it a bit. it would be bound to break soon and have her tinker with it and try and fix it until some other problem comes up. teaches them the mechanics and sometimes electronics and helps a lot with the understanding on how a CO2/HPA gun works and there for how to fix there own. but with a tipmann there are some people (not that smart though) who use their gun for ears on end without ANYTHING not even oil for maintnence. And they still work just fine. They arent the best when it comes to accuracy and fire rate though. I am in love with all Q-loader and AGD products. only if you have time and patience though. without that your stuck aat step one

call me a dick, but I am not a fan of getting an electro for a first gun...model 98's are the stuff. Get her something that she won't accidentally fire all the time. Have to ease them in to the electro triggers.

highly suggest looking into .50 cal markers if shes under 10, also check if your local store/field has 50 cal. if they do its a lot of fun and more enjoyable for the younger ones. i my self own milsim impulse 50 and love it.

.50 cal isnt going to be around much longer, bairly anyone invested in it and it basically already dead. if your field has 50 cal days then i guess that would work, but dont expect those days to be frequent

I agree here. My 10 year old daughter wanted an ETEK if you can believe that. I guess see listened when I spoke. After trying the fit in her hands the Mini was a better choice. Used of course. Tippmans are good for those that those that play more woods for sure.
