I think the carbon fiber looks nice and this is something i might look into doing with some of my stuff but I have to laugh at the irony of all this. If we say it out loud or not we all dont want to shoot the composite plastic guns like eteks, that DP gun and the new rail and any others because they are not metal. But we have no problem making out metal guns "look" like plastic.
I like the carbon fiber wrapped NT but I wouldnt want a Carbon fiber NT. I just had to mention the irony of how metal is cool on fake guns and plastic is cool on real guns like Glocks.

Carbon fiber is not plastic
It's a resin hardened fiber weave... Very different than composite and plastic

Looks nice. Does that 3m product have real carbon fibers or is it a printed look alike?
I suppose this also means that dye never released that carbon fiber NT? Bummer.

Merely out of laziness and curiosity, would you provide this as a service? how much would this cost in terms of labor and cost of product?

Its not the fact that its cool on "real guns" Its necessary. In real combat weight is everything. so it comes down to innovation and lighter weight.
But for recreational needs.... People would like to see a little more bang for their buck when they spend over a grand $$$$ on their paintball gun. Plastics cant be anodized so colors and designs are limited. it would cost lots and lots of money to make different color plastic parts for these guns specially for the limited quantity. its not like its for the military or for a huge market. Some of these special edition guns they only release 75 a year of. Not alot of room for profit. anywho... I sure i could go on for days about this stuff so ....CYA !

I build real things out of carbon fiber every day for a living. I'm not talking wet lay stuff I can do that too as well. I can't go into any other specifics about that... I did however make a few things for myself(non work related).I am also making a few products that will be really beneficial to the paintball community. That will soon be for sale. If anyone was at the MSXL this recently a few of my products being prototyped for testing during the event. My team will be using a lot of my products soon so you'll probably notice at a tourney.
Awesome idea on what you got it's cool to see some people here with some creativeness. I was thinking about wrapping a few accent pieces on my dye rotor. Keep up the good work man.
