Why isnt Boblong sponsoring the Ironmen anymore? I just got back into the sport.

Pwooo... Thats been what.. Since 03/04 i think... Ironmen used to be in Modesto @ Extreme Paintball, Rich Teleford owns it still. As with all things in paintball people had disagreements and things split... Ironmen went to LA to be sponsered by Dye, and Bob started his Oakland Assassins.. I havent kept up with the scene since 06 so idk what bobs doing anymore... or rich for that matter, haven't been to Extreme in forever

There was originally one Ironmen team, then two when Bob Long left and started his own team and named them the Ironmen. This forum is for the first incarnation or the Ironmen also referee to as SC Ironmen or Dye Ironmen. Bob Long's Ironmen changed their name to Oakland Assassins when the NXL started in PSP, and were then known as Oakland Blast.

The split happened pre-2000 because I started playing in 1999 and read articles about BL's Ironmen and SC Ironmen.
