Smoothest and quietest nt setup?

I don't care about efficiency or rof, I just want the best possible combination for a smooth, quiet gun. I have the nt10 with pressure about 130, and dwell on 5, and it seems very smooth. If I take out my blue spacer will that smooth it out even more? I have no shims in the gun either. Thanks guys!

Four Recommended Settings.
1. Super smooth – lowest recoil, quiet, shoot the most fragile paint
a. Green bolt tip insert, no spacer insert
b. Operating pressure approximately 110psi
c. Efficiency: 1200-1300 shots off a 68/4500 tank

2. Stock settings from factory – balance of all performance features
a. Red bolt tip insert, no spacer insert
b. Operating pressure approximately 120psi
c. Efficiency: approximately 1400 shots off a 68/4500 tank

3. Efficiency one – better efficiency, still well balanced performance
a. Red bolt tip insert, green spacer insert
b. Operating pressure approximately 130psi
c. Efficiency: approximately 1500 shots off a 68/4500 tank

4. Efficiency two – ultimate spool valve efficiency
a. Red, or blue bolt tip insert, yellow spacer insert
b. Operating pressure approximately 140psi
c. Efficiency: 1600-1700 shots off a 68/4500 tank

This weekend I ran the green insert, dwell at 8ms, 110 in the reg. It felt the softest I have ever had the gun.

NT11 the chrono was messed but I was shooting cross field all day with no issues. In other words it felt like it was at proper speed. I actually shot the gun with dwells as low as 6 MS today. I was trying out different dwell settings in between points to see what really felt best. I don't know but the lower the dwell the snappier the gun felt I found, once I got to a dwell of 11 I found the gun had more of a hard feel to the shot. If that makes any sense. I settled on 8 though it felt the smoothest.

no spacers or the body, from what I understand you get the smoothest and quietest gun without them.

My NT took about a month to get right, I tried every combination of settings. I did finally find the absolute smoothest setting. Never felt any marker so smooth.

Drilled tip insert to BW Mod specs
Polished Bolt
Small macro line on spool
Dwell @7
NO spacers or body
110psi
280-290fps
Zero Kick, and very quiet.

on my nt11 for some reason with the green insert i had to run 132 to shoot 290 fps. im thinking its the bumper oring and the bolt tip oring. it was loud and not so smooth. im getting the bumper oring soon and just changed the bolt tip oring to a 013.

i have a nt10 and here are my setting, how can i improve consistency?

dwell 8
psi 130
red bolt tip
green flow insert
small piece of macro
fps from 285-294

i have the noid manifold on order and should be here tomorrow. will that help with consistency or lowering my psi? efficiency is the least of my worries, all day air is included with field fee's. what can i do to make the gun more consistent? thanks in advance

The new manifold will help with consistency. The way the new manifold is designed is to more efficiently deliver the air flow of the marker. Are you using the stock barrel? What paint are you using? What is the paint boring at? The closer you match the bore of the paint to the bore of your barrel the more consistent it will be and it can be more efficient.

That is abnormally crazy wear.

I can't figure out what is causing it. I switched the the updated eye pipe and after 2 weeks I have that. The eye pipe is installed correctly, eye pipe has no signs of wear

There has to be some obvious wear somewhere else. Check for ano rub around the breech area. Id say the can too but its only at the tip.

How old is the gun?
Did you buy it new?

mine WAS running that low but when i started experiencing the "bolt stick/half cycling" at an event I swapped out all my O-Rings. So the set i had been wearing in since October are lost in the abyss known only as my gearbag.

what dwell are you running?

I run 10 since I ran into issues with 9 in the cold. I suppose I could try 9 now that it's hot as **** out but it's working so well I never bothered.

Just buy a 5x rebuild and custom fit the orings. I find my spool orings to be most important. My spool moves with almost no resistence even without lube. Just enough friction to make a proper seal.
