Old shoebox impulse.

i acquired today an old red to black fade impulse. I pretty much figured something was going to be wrong with it. Anyone know a lot about them and could help me?

Looks like you have most of it there. What exactly is not working in it? I will tell you one thing, where you took your vertical regulator off is not how it should come off. The whole body should stay connected to where to the threaded part. Most will just twist off but sometimes you have to use a wrench on that lock ring to get it loose. Just shoot me a PM with anything you need help with.

indeed my macflo was putting out about 250+ pressure and kept causing it to spike and the release valve to do its job. It sits right about 215-225 now and shoots amazing

That pressure is high. You really should be down about 180. Perhaps your gauge is faulty?

hmm it seems to be working fine? it was over 250 and i slowly just lowered the pressure and it stopped overflowing at that psi. : / i stopped there.

I ask because I am experiencing the same problem with my impulse as well. decreasing the pressure doesn't do anything either.

When your talking about decreasing the pressure. You mean on the maxflfo right? The little gauge on mine kept going to 250+ and then spiking down. It would keep doing it. I unscrewed it all the wa and went from there.

Definitely shouldn't run over 200psi. I set all of my imps at 170.
