FX leak

Ok when i air up my FX it leaks air but if i dry fire it the leak stops it seems like it coming from the top of the gun. I have already changed the o-rings on the ram, Serviced the noid. I have taken the gun totally apart and lubed just about every o-ring on the gun and its still doing it. what might be the problem?

Service the hpr and the lpr. Then zero out the pressures and set them to get the gun to chrono. Try this and if it still leaks then its out of my basic knowledge haha

Have you checked the rubber seal on the end of the valve pin inside the air chamber?

If that starts to get worn out air will leak down the barrel / out of the top of the marker.

I have that sort of leak and it stops as soon as I dry fire 1 or 2 shots.

Would you recommend a dow33 or a light oil for the valve pin Marcus?

Ok found the problem there is a plastic piece that the Valve Pin goes into and it cracked. I tried to take a pic but the piece is so small its hard to get a good pic of it. Well i called up DP and i have ordered 2 of them just in case i have the same problem again. If you want to know what the piece is look in you owners manual go to the parts diagram in the back of the manual and its part #15.

Its called a valve pin bumper

You should of ordered a couple of valve pin seals also because they only last about 6 months to a year under average use. What you are describing sounds like the valve pin seal going bad. That little plastic piece that you are talking about is a bushing that guides the valve pin, and prevents wear on the marker body. Unless that thing is partially missing, I can't see that being the cause of the leak. Regardless though, if it's cracked then it had to be replaced.

Do you know if this valve pin seal comes in the parts kit?

I don't think they are in the parts. DP charges $10+shipping for a new seal.

Valve pin seal is fine i also replaced that now the only thing i havent replaced is the plastic bumper that is cracked. Once that gets here i will also replace that and if it continues to happen then i will send the gun to DP and let them figure it out because i have changed every o-ring on the gun.

OK update i have replaced the Valve pin bumper and there are no more leaks. I shot a 1/2 case thru it and it's back to normal. So just in-case you FX is leaking as soon as you air it up check that bumper and make sure its not cracked..... Trial and error people....

Also I have to give BIG ups to DP cs i ordered 2 of those bumpers and paid for 2 and i received 4. I really love this Company i think im going to look into Sponsorship

I think I might have that leak. How did you get the bumper out? I tried a pick but couldn't work out how to get it out.

Lol I'm late but he never answered you. Separate the body and unscrew the orange screw. That orange screw holds the bumper in place.
