Cheap food thread

I haven't seen one of these in a while. i know a lot of you here are either in college, or are saving up for something sweet like a house, car or a catapult. my contribution;

store kaiser buns
turkey breast
colby cheese
dintey moore beef stew
baked lays chips

dunk the turkey into the stew for maximum success. this meal is semi-sodium friendly. a helluva lot better than Chipotle.

$18 dollar jug for protein from wal-mart supplies with around 40 scoops=bout 24 shakes. Each shake is about half a meal.
Buy tuna in bulk
Buy trail mix
Buy eggs
Usually my daily lunch, cheap as ****.

i like your style, but from my experience taking protein shakes without exercising to be wasteful. your body does not benefit from it. or maybe this is after your post workout

Cooked chicken breast
Dried cranberries
Lettuce
Kaiser roll
Mayonaise
Spicy mustard
And whatever seasonings I'm feeling that day

Toast the roll, warm up the chicken in a skillet with some olive oil and butter, season as you see fit (I usually do a mix of sea salt, garlic powder, pinch of onion powder, and cayenne pepper), add in the dried cranberries towards the end. Spread mayo, add lettuce and spicy mustard, then make the sammich. One of my favorite mid day meals, a good sized one will hold me over till evening, and is pretty damn cheap.

Rice, black beans, onions, tortillas, and hot sauce. I lived off that for a year.
