See, that bothers me. Pixar to me has always been able to be the type of company that makes movies that are entertaining for ALL ages with very amazing stories and humor.

I felt like the first cars failed that, and I havent even bothered to see that.

Ong Bak 2: The Beginning- 8.5/10 The most fighting/blood I have seen in a long time, some very very good fighting .

Ong Bak 3: 7/10. Not as good as the 2nd but definately kept me interested most of the movie along with more great fighting.

Went to see Mr. Popper's Penguins with my sisters and parents. It certainly wasn't bad as far as kid's movies go; I was entertained. 7.5/10

I just got Netflix, can someone tell me how often they update the instant? Is there some kind of schedule or is it just random?

How was Cars 1 not that? Everyone I know loved the movie, it is probably one of my favorites. I agree that they ar e a company held to a higher standars and will 100% agree that Cars 2 was NOT what I was hoping it would be, but Cars 1 was a great movie.

How?

Cars was the worst Pixar movie to date, imo. It was still better than most animated films but not by much. The characters were very broad and it is one of the few Pixar movies that just doesn't make any emotional connection with me. The story was very well trodden territory. C-

Cars, as a film, was the worst film Pizarro has produced to date. Its success is entirely dependent on the much greater ability to provide relevant merchandise for he film. Little toy cars with tracks, car shaped lunchboxes and backpacks, car shaped beds, etc boosted the films net profit further than any other film they've made. They continued down this trend with Cars 2, changing the targeted audience to further their merchandising abilities.

Cars holds nothing to WALL-E, Up, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and others.

I cried no less than twice during Up.

And Treghc nailed it with the merchandising thing.

The first 10 minutes of Up was just brutal. Talk about not expecting to get blindsided like that in a movie...

I dunno. I liked Cars. I like Pixar in general a lot as most people do. They make good movies. I am not speaking of the merchandising or anything that comes along with it, just the movie. I liked it.

Edit: I also LOVED that they put Brad Paisley songs at the end of both of them.

One of the stupidest damn movies I've seen.
Makes me remember why I can't stand Queen Latifa and Jimmy Fallon.
The hot thieves were the only saving grace for this movie.

But that's just me, I like seeing the world/good guys lose every once in awhile... Gives a sense of realism, that we can't always win or have things pull through. (I'm weird though.)

completely agree, great movie but the ending did wrap up fast and kinda cliche.. also, idc what people say.. we would lose hardcore against an alien race like that

phenomenal movie. One of, if not Hitchcock's best. Loved it from start to finish. It almost could have ended like 3 or 4 times and i would have been content, but it kept going and somehow remained so good. Not sure how I feel about the ending scene but it was humorous nontheless. Such a crisp, clean movie just like many of Hitchcock's other greats. Go see this if you havent yet
