Pretty much the same with me.
(I was also happy with Blake Lively)

When the new Harry Potter trailer came out, every one clapped... When the movie was over, there was a standing ovation...
Who the **** claps at the movies?

I started a slow clap at one movie recently, I forgot which one however.

Not really a movie but....

Band of Brothers- 10/10, watched it all while I was sick. Great stuff.

First time I saw it, actually. Would have loved it as a kid but it's clearly not for adults. Still entertaining, though. Drew Barrymore is at her peak and hotter than ever.

You are a sick sick man... Unless it was a PeeWee Herman movie or something.

Also, I am right there with you on Band of Brothers. I loved that series.

Battle: LA - 8.5/10
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was a **** ton better than Skyline and it just felt right while I was watching it. My only problem was how it ended, it seemed to wrap things up too well. But that's just me, I like seeing the world/good guys lose every once in awhile... Gives a sense of realism, that we can't always win or have things pull through. (I'm weird though.)

The Mechanic - 7/10
It was a solid Statham movie as (I think) someone stated earlier. It was a tad screwed up, but it made for an interesting watch.

Aliens - 8/10
(seems to be a trend with me and alien movies....)
Great movie, I always thought it was interesting that they lost contact just as she showed up all those years later...

Unknown 5/10 - I feel as though this movie never really picks up until about 20 minutes from the end, by then I'm already beyond dissatisfied with this movie. Not Liam's best

Tron 8/10- Watched this in 3D on my roommates 50 inch Panasonic TV, graphics and digital design were absolutely amazing along with the Daft Punk Soundtrack.

Agreed 100%. I saw it in the theater, not much different I assume. The whole bit they did with Jeff Bridges was really good. I felt nerdy going to see it at first but that feeling went away rather quickly.

I had never seen the original Tron and really didn't even know what the story was about before I had seen the movie. Jeff Bridges plays an excellent roll in the film, just like most films he plays in.

If you paid attention you'd have heard that Paul Reiser's character sent people out to find the Alien ship from the first movie, after Sigourney (Ripley) told him what happened.

The director's cut adds a few scenes that make that a little clearer. The DC makes it even better as a movie.

The Fifth Element 8/10

I just watched The Machinist with Christian Bale. Interesting...7/10. It didn't make sense for the first half or so then I started piecing it together. Worth the watch I'd say but nothing spectacular.

As for the original Tron, that **** made no sense to me at all. The second one, for me at least, made the first one way more clear.

Cars 2 - 7/10? Maybe

As much as I wanted to love this movie (Cars 1 being one of my alltime favorites) I just couldn't.
Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)
Mater has WAYYYY too much screen time, Sally doesn't have enough, the story wasn't really well put together and it seems the only things driving the movie were the references to the first and their witty use of ****. It should be called Cars 2: Mater's a Spy

However, the little Toy Story skit at the beginning was flawless.

Sucker Punch - 6/10 or so

Visually, it was pretty sweet, but other than that, the storyline was boring and most of the "acting" was ok at best. I got pretty bored with it almost an hour or so in and then just kept checking to see how much time was left.

The editing and processing had to take forever just due to the amount of always changing angles over and over and over. Also, the soundtrack started off decent, but then I lost interest in that as well as the movie went on.

I'd watch it if you're bored and suggest it if you have a nice tv and surround sound system. That definitely helped keep it more entertaining, but I wouldn't watch it on a small older tv without HDMI.

Basically it's a combination of all this: (in my opinion)

Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)
The Matrix, Inception, Sin City, mixed with a ton of CGI, dragons and ninja/samurai stuff. And I suppose a touch of Shutter Island lol
