I was born too late.. will probably never happen even if I re-enlist.

.. and we're all still waking up at 0545. Only good thing is it's already sunny over here at that time so I don't feel completely ****ty waking up so early

Best part of this 'deployment' is gonna be getting stuck and staying in a 4 star hotel in azores, portugal.

We're finally off this lockdown enough to be able to hit the gym in our little camp area.. it's funny how all the big headed ****s suddenly look/feel so small and lost.

edit: Back from gym again.. all these mother****ers say they're gonna get big on this deployment then they go to the gym and don't push themselves for ****. **** my platoon.

Up to 85 lbs per arm with dumbell bench press yet? You weigh about 160 right?

I can get 10 reps out of 75's if I start my workout with db bench.

I rode 27 miles the other day in an hour and 45 minutes. Slow, thanks to my friend who started riding as well. One day, he will learn how and when to shift gears. I could have easily shaved 20+ minutes off that time. My *** bone hurts.

So my leadership decided this week that we can't go to the gym unless its between 1100-1300... also known as lunch, which is also the busiest time of the day in the gym.... PSG also decided to skip platoon PT this morning, anyone else have jacked up leadership thats afraid of doing PT? Its ****ing stupid cause theres nothing else to do on this retarded deployment.

I had to get BMI for being UNDERweight. It wouldn't help me.

But, is there any certain way of going about to do it? I need to be able to do 3-5 miles at a 7:30 pace. I also don't have anybody to run with. The one person I work out with now has such a busy schedule I never work out with him anymore.

Just get a stop watch and drive in your car and mark the miles you drive on whatever route you're taking then run and time yourself.. just keep running regularly (3 times a week minimum if you feel like you're killing yourself and running the full 5 miles.. make sure you're recovering in between runs if you feel like you're working that hard) and work your way up to that time.. 730 a mile for 3-5 miles is not hard.

edit: If you're just barely starting then try it on a treadmill so you can gauge now fast you need to be moving your feet.. but after awhile i'd start running outside and not on a treadmill unless you're just doing some light cardio after a gym session or something
