Chillwave/Shoegaze/Dream-Pop/Whatever else thread

A broad spectrum of music that fits together in my eyes. Wouldn't be suited to whole different threads. I listen to a lot of different music, but I'll try to keep it relative, if that's even possible considering this type of stuff kind of clashes and ventures in to other genres at times. Don't be upset if something else gets thrown in. In general, this is music that is easy to relax to. Main focus point here is Chillwave and Shoegaze. Simple explantions: Chillwave is mainly electronic made stuff, while shoegaze features drawn out guitars and such. Vocals for both, if any, tend to be soft most of the time. /bad explanations
Anyway, probably not a huge fan base for this type of stuff on the nation, but it's always good to find new stuff and open people to new things.

So let me get this started with some examples of these musical styles from some different bands.

Newest Washed Out. I'm so in love with this song:

Also in love with the song "Sight Seeing" from this band so they get some recognition right now. "Feel" is a good one too: http://youthcastles.bandcamp.com/

Not gonna fill up the first post with too many vids and stuff, so I'll just leave it like that for now.

Here's some other bands to check out:
Deerhunter
Toro Y Moi
Dom
The Jesus and Mary Chain
Japandroids
Neon Indian
The Drums
Air France
Cults
Purity Ring (Only 2 songs out right now I believe)
Teen Daze
Delorean
Blackbird Blackbird
Nadja

List could go on forever. I'll add more later.

Few blogs that I've stumbled upon that tend to have good stuff sometimes (Still looking for some more good ones):
http://theirbatedbreath.wordpress.com/
http://www.thecitizeninsane.com/
http://www.gorillavsbear.net/

Guess you could look at this first post as just a starting point. I'll continue working on this as time goes by.

Remember, if your friends think you listen to weird music, you're doing it right.

Your definition of chillwave is so gay and not based in reality.

Slowcore is also the best madeup genre ever.

You're right. I guess nobody makes chillwave with Ableton and synthesizers. Feel free to come up with your own definition though to help me out here.

Just got back from sexy time night. Might post up some more moosic.

Not much difference, but I like this version of the following song:

Categorize this whatever way you wanna.

This is some what the **** just happened to my life ****:

And this, is Brothertiger. He plays "chillazz".

Think that's all I'm gonna post right now. Don't wanna clutter **** up too much and spoil you kids. Teen Daze had a lot of good remixes btw.

Pretty hip. Srsly though, I just love music like this. I'm also into Electronic/Trance stuff and different types of rock. I guess rap is okay sometimes, but only if it's Tupac or something decent.

I'll see about gettin a new wave of stuff today.
