I did too however, I did not have fun being an "AG". Talk about a **** job. Carting around all your gear and then extra belts of ammo, tripod, spare barrel and gloves. Good times.

Marine Corps. East or West coast MCRD's. Ive heard about other branches training, not jokes mind you, but just not a rigorous and demanding. Navy, as I was told by a bunch of sailors is mainly an indoor training, including PT. Airforce, I dont know much about, but from the Airmen I've seen, I dont see how it can be too demanding. And Army, I have family that served, and they told me, most of it was just having to deal with the drill sergeants. And to what I know, all other branches, Marine Corps aside, have a training timeout for if it gets to intense for them. Doubt they get used, or why would you join any military branch. Now for Marine Corps, Phew, where to begin! haha, I probably got slayed multiple times everyday in the pit. Got punched in the face by my recieving DI for looking around (I was tired and not thinking). And how many Devil Dogs know how the real Senior Drill Instructor goes. ***tstorm of screeming, racks flipped, lockers thrown and smashed open, stuff in the lockers thrown everywhere, shaving cream sprayed on me and the recruits to my left and right.
But anyways, all boot camps and basic trainings have their own difficulties to get through

Its not so bad, its all a mind game. They break you as quick as possible to build you up a stronger person, a stronger marine. I know gettin hit, and slayed everyday helped me, as well as turn me into a crazy a** mutha ******. LOL

Bootcamp is so easy. The only hard part of bootcamp is getting used to huge amounts of bull****.

Dont let it scare you! haha, my friend jst graduated for PI and I asked him about it, and apparently thanks to Mothers of America, the Drill Instructors cant do that anymore, nor with the hitting. We had fights in my squad bay and the DI's didnt stop, now they have to intervein and stop them. Unless your 3rd Btn, you should have no worries (Isay that because they are the furthest from everything on the island, so they can get away with some stuff). Dont let anything anyone says deter you from what you want to do. If you want to join up, just go into a recruiters office and talk to them, most of them are straight up honest with you. Plus you get to shoot a real gun (alot at the range), plus the satisfaction off accomplishment is the greatist feeling out thter

I've read a lot of stories where the Marine Sergeants lie to you just to meet a quota? I Want to be in a support position cause I don't really like guns. The idea of having to take someones life doesn't sit well with me. What's your job? I'm just at a cross road in my life and need a change but I don't want to be treated bad, that's why I was thinking about the Air Force too. Were you like me before they made you a 'crazy mother ****er'?

No, I wasnt like you, I've always loved guns! I own a few myself. But in any branch you join you will shoot a gun during recruit training. Regardless, Navy shoots a shotgun and 9mm pistol, Marines and Army use the M16(A2 for army A4 for Marines), Air Force I think shoots an M16 as well. Some recruiters do lie, it happens, but from all the recruiters I know, and have even heard about, they are straight up. I signed up for 0311, but was denied because they had a back up of people waiting to go to boot because they were 0300. So I took my next offer, which was Airwing. Im an aircraft mechanic (but I would volunteer in a heartbeat to get attached to a grunt unit). If you dont want to be around guns, dont do Marine Corps. At MCT we shot M249's M240B's, and even threw grenades (not fake pop grenades, but live grenades). If I where you I'd go Navy or Air Force, both have their pros and cons. Thats what you have to find out. And really I'm not THAT crazy!!! haha, it was wierd coming out of Boot Camp and seeing everything from a diff perspective.

Shhhh..... he's a Devil Dog.... they don't know any better.
Also... I love how people want to join the Infantry and end up as Commo or Mechanics and such... it's called "wait until they have the job you want".
