I got the hush bolt last week and took it out to testing at my local paintball park that weekend. I was reading the earlier posts that the middle o-ring was sized improperly. when i shoot my blitz the bolt will not re-cock. to shoot again i have to manually re-cock the gun. when i put the original bolt that came with the gun it works fine. could this be caused by the middle o-ring being the wrong size? has anyone had this problem?

Thanks

Probably a noob question, but would the hush bolt affect accuracy or consistency of your shot? Also, is the sound difference very noticeable? The stock Blitz is pretty dang loud.

Your barrels porting will affect the sound signature. Accuracy is dependent upon a clean breach and barrel, and good quality paint.

What is the benefit of this Hush Bolt then?

Edit: Upon reading a few more reviews. It turns out the early batches of the Hush bolt had improper Middle o ring sizing and cause a few problems for some people. Replacing it should fix it if it is the wrong size. It will seal off the top tube and should increase your guns efficiency.

I would like to see a YouTube clip of the before and after chrono. And not done by techt lol. Does the BPS slow down because of the o-rings causing friction?

If I buy one like I think I am, then I'll do a full review Chrono numbers and all.
Azodin Told me they are nothing but trouble, but every where else I read is good. So looks like I will have to spend the 31$+ shipping and find out.

The bolt should have lube or oil on its o-rings, if it's in your gun. It should have very little to almost no friction when lubed.

just because its delrin doesnt mean you cant put lube on it. the bolts dont swell if you use the right lube

I use triflow on my delrin bolt o-rings. A very light amount on just the o-rings will be fine.

is this worth the investment? every one has said it is a great buy but that doesn't really help me, can someone post a video that helps me make up my mind, (i.e.) chrono the gun with original bolt (possibly with sound meter?) and then stick the HUSH bolt in and chrono again.
Another question, Is this middle O-ring issue fixed with the newer bolts? please PM me any answers, i am bad at keeping up with threads

No, I will not PM you. If you care, you will have to come back and check like the rest of us.

I am going to test it out this Sunday 4/28/13 at a local field. I plan on getting crono numbers and all that. I just got mine about 2 weeks ago, and it doesn't seem to have a problem with the middle O-0ring. Maybe I'll get some video with my phone.

there are other up's you can get with the money you save by not buying this bolt. ive actually found that tinkering with $10 spring kits will do much more than the bolt. the zero system will drop your op down to 250. sound doesn't bother me, but a carbon fiber barrel will quiet your shots. and my personal opinion the azodin asa sucks. and if you don't have an on/off....that should (without a doubt) be the first thing you buy especially if you have a ninja reg on your tank.

I had always emphasize this point, there is extra care for the orings, once it damaged, ur marker wldnt shoot & I had tested it, it bring near zero of differences on getting ur shot better..

why bother to spend that $ with almost no performance increment (down perform for someone here) with need of extra attention on the orings, potential of marker down & kill ur game.. u wldnt have problem shooting caused by the stock bolt (*improper usage case excluded). as smalltownkaos said, a barrel investment is even worth it more, & u see the true difference..

p/s: *such as slotting in the bolt improperly which might have the bolt pop put & possibility of broken.

^ listen to this guy. lose the .690 bore for something that fits your paint, that will increase your fps. which means you can back your velocity out, meaning ......less kick. a CF barrel and sizing kit, autococker threaded so it will work on tons of markers. buy a $10 spring kit and play around with it. you'd be surprised how much those 2 up's will improve any stbb.

Ok I finally got to test mine...

Before I was shooting
230-260

With Hush
260-290

So on average without changing any setting, I saw a 20-30FPS increase in velocity. Yes I did hear a difference in the sound signature, it was a little bit quieter.

So OK news for the hush, however I don't think I will ever purchases an Azodin marker again. In my opinion, one can find better guns for the price. Especially if they are willing to get a used gun.

My reasoning is the build quality. The gun just feels cheap after playing around with other markers. Whether its the flimsy grips, the VASA screw, the feedkneck, or stock blitz barrel. Just not impressed with the Blitz/Zenith.

My next gun will likely be an Etek or an AXE.
