leasing a car is dumb. if youre under 25 just buy a car in cash, you dont need anything outside of your means.

i completely agree with you...but some people like german cars. leasing one is cheaper.

And as for the bumper thing, ya they wouldnt fix that. but they also probably wouldnt let you lower it either.

I get 30mpg highway in my forester. It's been nothing but good to me. I had an ep3 before it and hated the lack of room. Being able to fit 4 bikes and 4 people and driving comfortably 2 hours away to go ride is a winner in my book.

I like having the extra room. It comes in handy all the time.

Yeah you're right. I keep thinking I want a car/compact sedan for the better mpg and since I'm a new driver, it'll be a little easier to drive. But after driving my mom's GMC Acadia (bigger suv), I don't think the forester would be too bad so I'm kinda back on the forester.

They're really scarce around here though, have a few emails into some people on craigslist to do a test drive on one finally.

And to be honest with you, I've never owned fast cars. I build them, and all my friends drive them, but I've never really desired to have one. So if you would be down for an NA forester I think you'd still like it. More readily available, cheaper, more reliable, less urge to mod, cheaper insurance.

I enjoy my car even though it's NA. I'm fine with a low, slow, car that sounds good.

My motto is, learn to drive a slow car fast, than a drive a fast car into a wall, or in what's his mustang's face's case, into a streetlamp.

Repainting a set of factory brembos (same brakes as middle picture) to put onto my car (pictured bottom). Brakes were kind of beat up paint wise and I wanted them to stick out from the cars that came with brembos factory just because of the work being put into them already. What color would you guys suggest (caliper color as well as the brembo logo)?

EDIT-also, thanks for the input guys. I haven't been able to make up my mind for a week. I just picked up the brembos saturday and started sanding them yesterday.

Red would be easiest, just have to decide if they're what I want.

I agree.

only problem I have with red is that everyone who paint stock calipers paints them red.. Idk if I want red because of that. I thought about a candy purple or blue with white logos, or a light silver with red logos. And sorry, I love the volks =] the sf challenges are not as common as the ce28n's and te37's. They cost me a pretty penny so I don't think I'm gonna move them anytime soon, especially considering in Ohio there is very little in the way of "nice" and "authentic" rims. More people just put chrome wheels with horrible widths, offsets and tire sizes.

Well my life sucks. Picked up a boosted LS eg hatch as a project. Runs good, needed a lot of work buts its came a long way. Needed a new tranny so I went and picked one up, and after pulling the old trans and tossing the new one in, the new tranny is all binded up.

Fun. Now I get to pull it again and take it back to the guy I bought it from and get my money back. So much time wasted.

Craigslist is so sketchy.

+ revised interior, factory suspension, front bumper and bump in the front hood. 06 can have an oil consumption issue, check that it has been addressed by either a replaced engine (if it's made it this long w/o one its probably ok, but check warranties) 03-05 have like 285 bhp while the 07-08 have a pumped up 306 or so. This is not found because of a higher max torque but rather just more area under the curve (and the 1000 rpm rev limiter boost that they have over the earlier models.) Otherwise, they're all pretty similar! If you're considering buying one though, go out and test drive one. I am so happy that I got mine
