Soo... This was my first time ever playing in this event. I drove with a couple buddys from St.Louis MO to play with a team. When we got to the event, I was very impressed. I have to say the turf and the staging area was awesome, the inside of the building was very nice as well....SNOW CONES...! My only major complaint would be the reffing!! It sucked.....I understand that you guys only had 6 refs but that is no excuse. I saw so many players get shot off the break in there pod packs, arms, legs, and even one in the face and NEVER GOT PULLED. After seeing this happen within the first three games I said something to one of the dorito side refs. That ref then started behind the dead box and caught two guys almost right away for not having their barrels touching. I would say then a game or two later he pulled a guy out for a shot to the hopper. Now if he was still on the dorito side, he would have never seen the hit on his hopper since the refs really didnt get into the game and paint check. The only thing is, after three more games, they went right back to all standing on the side lines hiding behind there ***** umbrellas...and again, players were getting shot off the break and playing on while making crucial differences to the game. Right before the short break I asked the ultimate ref if they could do something about this issue. I mean there were so many of the teams getting screwed. I tallied up a total of thirteen hits just off the break, thats not even counting the other side that I couldnt see. I just hope shock gets the same reffing in Chi-Town

I hate people who make their criticism known after an event rather than at the event but all I want to say now is that the refs should be a little more open to constructive criticism. I didn't cuss a ref out or throw my gun or anything like that but I was responded to otherwise. It was a great event, no doubt. Closer more accurate paint checks would be great. Endemic will be returning most definitely to the remaining 3 events. Thanks to the refs and Jansen for what seems to be a stressful job and being open to last minute teams signing up (the more the better), and Mike the owner of Pekin.

Reffing seemed to be well done all day for the most part. Refs are not always going to catch everything and that's true in any sport. My only thought on the event as a whole would be rules be enforced a little more consistent. Players were told in the morning not to wear short sleeves, that they weren't allowed.. Saw and heard numerous players told this by refs. Yet by the end of the day players were playing games in muscle shirts and arm pads. I understand this is definitely a more laid back league and its been a ton of fun for both events. I just notice some inconsistency that is very minor but can make a difference. I also noticed some players not getting checked very thorough after hanging a flag, majority of the time players were getting checked very very thorough, like looking in the gaps of pod packs looking at hits that had dried from previous games and discussing it. Then I would see some points they just looked em up and down for 2 secs and give a thumbs up with out even checking a pod pack or anything.
I know that yesterday was miserable and I guarantee not many people wanted to be there for as long as we were and be as hot and sticky as everyone was. But this is the stuff we do for the sport we all love and 100% effort should be made to play and ref the best we can in any given situation.

Here's one of the things for "FORFITTING" they're game. After prelims, Incognito found out that two teams dropped out due to $ And paint. With that being said. Shouldn't that push us up to top? 16 teams for prelims, 8 teams for quarter, 4 teams for semi and ofcourse 2 for finals. After thinking about it I say we got screwed over. Eventhough if two teams dropped out that should've made us the next contenders up keeping it at 8 instead of six for quater. Just on my thoughts on this. Correct me if I'm wrongbut we also would like to know why that is just b/c two teams dropped.
And yes.... REFFING could've been better. Players getting hit and refs not checking makes a big turn out of teams not wanting to play. Not saying that is bad but could be better! Hopefully next event doesn't have poor reffing.

no no no no, wasn't directed towards you at all.. I've just ref'd some tournaments before and immediately after the tournament teams began crying about it online. I just didn't want to sound like one of those whiners
