Does anyone object to having the 1st event on October 1 instead of September 24? I'd like to maintain a week of separation between events in neighboring conferences as standard practice.

Due to family related issues with two of our players from FGCU, we will only be able to play the event if it is on the 1st of October.

Devry won't be available for the 1st.
I'm on business that weekend and another player is getting married.
Move it to Sunday and we are cool.
But losing FSU could would make this a bust anyhow.
What about the 8th? That leaves a weekend off before cup.

that'll be hard on us considering we are playing cup and those expenses will be due within that week or the next.

You will have to explain that logic to me. If you are already budgeting for the 24th/1st how does that affect your cup costs?
I understand having the weekend off before WC for practice.
Maybe it could be moved up to the 17th? Although, there is a big game that weekend.
I am willing to bite the bullet if necessary for the greater good. However, we are also going to lose FSU if its on the 1st. If its on the 24th FGCU will be unavailable.
Just my opinion, but I think the goal should be to get every team to the first event.

I don't think there will be a way to hold the event in September or October without having conflicts with team agendas. Sep 24, Oct 1, Oct 8, Oct 15, and October 22 all pose conflicts with either the field or teams. September 17 gives us only two weekends between now and the event, which is a bit short on the planning side. It seemed to me that there was an additional objection to the Oct 1 date.
September 24 as originally planned?

I have a few ideas for layouts. One would be the CFPS Event #6 layout. I have another suggestion or two that I would like to sit on for a bit.

I think we should just have someone set up the dates and places and just go with it. Maybe have one event be double points so that if someone can't make the first it doesn't effect their overall season points.
