Which makes no sense because I believe they pay you the equivilant of what world cup would cost. So the extra cash in your pocket wouldn't be incentive enough for you?

are you not familiar with paintball? very often people lose money: players, event runners, field owners etc. even at practices players lose money. if you want to MAKE money (which is extremely rare) then be a ref. even if you as a player win first place you still lose money (gas, paint, entry, food, hotel etc.) the point is to get out to play events because you love to play.

Not bashing at all... I think you just may not like what I'm saying. Now, I will say that I have made a couple of comments that have had some harsh over tones... and for that, I apologize.

It's a little easier to take in coments and feedback from teams that always sign up for D3 (and pay). But you have to understand our frustration when teams hop on theses threads and ***** and moan about this and that, we try and accommodate and in return we receive the same results.... a **** load of teams signing up and not playing. Its a vicious cycle that seems to have no end. We value your feedback hommie, but at what point is enough enough?

Now you guys are talking about more prelims. If you want more prelims , if you guys feel that will make teams want to play, you got it! But now, you have just increased your paint cost... Like I said, a vicious cycle.

3-4 prelim games would be good. My main point is that if you have only 2-4 teams sign up then you should STILL run the division. People need to see that its established and isnt going to be cancelled every event. Teams will have CONFIDENCE that they can pay first because they know its established and will be played and not cancelled. See what I mean?

I actually never said we would have played, I was just throwing out an idea. We were not able to make the plex event due to we were already doing an event that day and also another event on june 5th. The schedule was released in Dec. and they just happen to be on the same dates as the MWXL and this is another reason that a series would be tough to commit to for some teams. The lower div. has allot more teams/players to get involved since 90% don't play nationals, but when you get to a player ranked above d-4 then you are limiting your event drastically. The nationals they play draw teams from all over the US and they only get around 27 teams on the average and now you think that a local event could draw almost 1/2 that. I think just scrap the D-3 and concentrate on the D-4 since you already have a great start to it. I don't think D-3 teams will really mind since they didn't sign up for the first event. Now this is just me thinking out loud so don't think i'm trying to put the MWXL down and if you think I am then don't ask for what ppl think or want !

Not at all... sorry.

This is an established league all handled via APPA. This speaks for it's self. The problem is, we have a **** load of teams here in the midwest that for one reason or the other arn't willing to pay to play in a local X-Ball league. The whole concept of teams waiting around to pay, to see who else pays makes no sense. The fact of the matter is, people wait around to pay because they want to see who else is going to pay... if everyone is doing that then, as we know no one pays. It's the dumbest **** I have ever heard of.

Second, I've said this before and will continue to say that the overhead with regards to running a D3 X-Ball event for 3-4 teams is not justified. Not to mention the fact that of the 3 or 4 teams that always pay, voiced not really wanting to play with such few teams because of the cost involved (i.e. gas, food paint etc.).

Randy, Randy, Randy.... There is no need to get your panties all balled up. I in no way think your bashing... why, because it would not be justified.

The feedback we receive is treated like eating fish. We eat the fish and throw away the bones. Pretty much everything the teams have asked for based on feedback such as your, has been carefully considered and initiated where it made sense. But like I said, the result is always the same.

All we are trying to do is provide a great series, with a respectable price package based on the wants and needs of you...the player.

I think you should offer tea and cake at the captains meetings. I would really show up for that!!! This is just one fat guys opinion.

I serious tho. We got our ***** handed to us the first event, but I think it was a well run set up event. We will be back for event #2 (and the rest of the series). I know when we reach D3 level Doom will be there, as will many of the teams that are playing at the D4 level right now. In truth, regional events/tourneys/leagues are in the rebuilding process. It may take till next year to field a D3 division for MWXL, and you will be able to field it because of teams moving up the ranks. I appreciate the league for what it is, and will be.

event is in less than a week and only 2 teams have paid... sweet.

Don't understand why people don't want to pay to play a cheap event that is a lot of fun...
