I did an MHG moto-run today. Holy ****, my company is ruthless.
MHG has ****-tons of nerds and fatties, so whenever someone from the other bn's and companies fell out, we would say stuff like:
"****in *****!". (to a chick)
"there's donuts at the end, run faster!"
"man the harpoons!"
"hey road guard, you tired yet?"
then we made puking sounds when we saw people stop to heave. 50 people making puking sounds is pretty epic.
No cadence was sung until the last little bit where the MHG commander was watching everyone run by. Many conversations about random **** were had.
For about 30 minutes straight, there was at least one person insulting fat people. I wish I could remember more **** we said.
It's nice to be the only company that goes outside the wire in an entire regiment.

Okay, so we have 18 more posts before we get a new thread. I'm on duty today (fml), so I want to finish this thread out.
Anyone got a good thread title for the next one? I was thinking of something along the lines of v.7 and a gunny. Then v.8 can make fun of 1stsgts.

Double post. I don't care.
I found out I'm getting my TAP (pre-deployment) gear issue next week. I'm glad, because now I'll be able to train in the gear I'll use (like the plate carrier).
And has anybody seen this abomination yet? It's the "improved" MTV, with buckles in the place where my rifle buttstock goes much of the time. Great ****ing job, MC.

They need to lose the nut flap and neck protector. That **** just gets in the way. If I get shot in the neck protector where do you think it's going to ricochet?

It's to stop shrapnel, which it does work. Just chokes your *** when it's not stopping highly volatile pieces of metal |

Less is more IMO. Being able to move around quickly beats being in a bomb suit trying to waddle out of a firefight.
Edit: plus it looks ghey, duh.

I totally agree with foot mobiles or straight leg grunts, but they are so worried about mobile ops and what happened in Iraq with IEDs |
